This Easter, my wife and I are trying to stay away from a lot of candy and treats. Being a big gaming family, we are thinking about picking the kiddos up a couple of games. We have quite an extensive collection of all types of games but am drawing a blank on if there are some out there that are kid friendly and possibly Easter themed/appropriate? Any suggestions?

P.S. We have Jumpin' Jack.

Hm. How old are your kids?

If they're younger (and even if they're not), Animal Upon Animal is a winner.

Also, a couple more off the top of my head:

My First Stone Age
Kodama: The Tree Spirits
Brandon the Brave

Stone Age might fit Easter a little? Only in the sense you're hunting for items to build huts - so similar to the egg hunting aspect of Easter, not the religious bits lol.

Kodama is about growing a tree so it's kind of spring themed. Also there's a bit of math involved so depending on how old/developed your kids are you may need to help a bit here.

hmmmm not normally paying good enough attention to kids games but some that come to mind:
Dancing Eggs
Spot it!
both would loosely relate to easter one having eggs and the other about finding things.

+1 to Dancing Eggs definitely! Hide them all and then when they collect them, surprise kids, it's also a game!

Have you considered getting a puzzle and separating out the pieces into eggs that you hide? Obviously you don't want a 1000 piece puzzle, but something in the 50ish piece range can work. The kids search for eggs, find them, and put together the puzzle while you take care of getting other things ready/done.

I think we are giving (focusing on small games that will fit in Easter basket vs actually Easter "themed")-
Best Treehouse Ever
Hive (Bugs are spring themed right?)
... maybe Forbidden Island

Other more "spring" ideas-
Lotus
Cottage Garden
Wildcraft

Recommended in a previous thread-
Gulo Gulo apparently has an egg theme.
Eggs and Empires
Killer Bunnies and the Quest for the Magic Carrot
Dungeon Petz (petz hatch from eggs)
Dixit (has bunny meeples?)

Not Easter or spring themed, but basket-size, pretty, and loved by my two kiddos:

3 Wishes
Goblins Drool, Fairies Rule!
Frog Juice

Thanks for the great ideas... they are 2/3 and 4....

I like the dancing eggs idea, especially for my youngest.

Here is a pic of their current Game Shelf as a reference for anyone who wanted to see what we have....
