Quinn's 'reloadable' homing missiles are a nice idea - essentially playing the part of a discount heavy laser cannon which ignores evade tokens.

A score to settle is a nice cheap way of getting an action-free focus against a given target, too.

I'm not sure two sets of slicer tools are going to be worth it: yes, they only have a 50/50 chance of going off, but they tend more to be a threat to keep the PTL crowd honest than a primary means of attack; 90% of the time, having Assaj target lock or evade is a better call.

Ion cannon is an odd pick for palob. Given his ability to steal focus tokens, he's one of the few pilots who has little difficulty manning a blaster turret, which can rack up rather more damage. I guess the potential to ion/stress with Palob and Assaj is nasty, though.

I'm with you on Palob. Drop both sets of BMST, change ion to blaster turret and replace with Moldy Crow or Recon Specialist. I lean towards Moldy Crow because I hate being blocked from shooting.

Or pulsed ray shield. Palob draws a lot of anger - recovering his shield without compromising actions might help deal with this.

I ended up taking the BMST off for Burn Out Slam and an initiative bid. I've never regretted putting an ion turret on palob and once you ion someone you circle them like a shark stealing their defense. And while it does only a single damage after you roll attack and the opponent rolls defense usually 1 damage ends up being a result anyways. Its for harrassing people. I also tend to put Greedo on him to crit with it too.

With all the Hot Shot Co Pilots, Palobs, and Old Torachs I still dont trust blaster turret. And the pulse ray shield will go on every HWK I use.
