The West Wing
LOST

I can imagine both of them working as co-ops similar to Legendary Encounters: A Firefly Deck Building Game.

Some kind of Stephen-King-verse game could be pretty interesting as well.

I would also love to see a pure co-op Star Wars game. Not really sure why that hasn't happened yet. (or maybe it has and I missed it?)

I saw pale kings and princes too, Pale warriors, death-pale were they all; They cried—‘La Belle Dame sans Merci Hath thee in thrall!’

I think you mean a *good* Lost: The Game game cry

Similarly, with Twin Peaks returning, I wouldn't mind a good game related to that. I did play a fantastic game of Twin Peaks BGG Werewolf sever years ago.

Yes, well, the less said about that the better.

An adaptation of Rendezvous with Rama could be pretty neat.

I immediately thought of a retheme of Journey to the Center of the Earth.

Keeping with scifi, Roadside Picnic, which was made into a computer game (and movie) but not very faithfully.

Looking up another possible option, I found Blade Runner: Rep-Detect and I am wondering what's up with it.

I'd love to see a thematic ameritrashy interpretation of Stephen King's It. I can visualize it with a cooperative campaign starting as kids who have to investigate occurrences, gathering clues, dealing with the bullies,etc. The confrontation, then again with adult characters, each having some individual challenge before joining together for the final confrontation.

I think there is a fan made version out there, but an official Supernatural game in the legendary encounters style might be fun.

OK, that was impressive. Did you have that photo on hand*? Or did you Photoshop it in one minute?

What do you mean? That is THE latest in high-grade military fireporwer. I shouldn't even be showing you it; it could get us both killed.

Sierra On-Line made a pretty intense adaptation of Rama II for PC. I played the heck out of it.

The LCG started as such. They could easily retheme Warhammer Quest: The Adventure Card Game.

Samurai Jack could be a pretty cool 2-player asymmetric game. Lord of the Rings: The Confrontation could be an inspiration, but problematically there aren't really very well defined recurring characters other than Jack and Aku (the Scottish guy and...umm...well that's about it).

I do kind of wonder if The Matrix could be pulled off as a series of interlocking minigames, somewhat a la Star Wars: The Queen's Gambit. It would take some ruthless paring down to avoid it becoming a 6-hour sprawling mess though. Could plausibly be a semi co-op with a potential (but not definite) traitor.

How? Like what would be the goal? Would it be cooperative or competitive? Or maybe an Arabian Nights style "hop around the board and crazy shit happens?"

A 2-player asymmetric LCG a la Android: Netrunner seems like a plausible fit here.

Here's just a few I can think of, perhaps they've already been done:

* Zahn's Cobra War

* Glen Cook, The Black Company

* Cook's Garrett PI series

* Stross's Atrocity Archives

* Stross again, Merchant Princes

Some of the above may have been done already, I don't know, I've only been around here a couple of years, just haven't seen any of it during that time.

I could see it working well as either co-op or as a competitive, asymmetric game. An asymmetric version could be created either where each player plays a group/faction, or it could play a larger number with each player being assigned a team based on their character.

Spoiler (click to reveal)
The brothers bumping each other off, but their ghosts stick around. So, even with "player elimination," you could probably incorporate gameplay that would be fun. And, then they're also trying to reach Yvain for the necklace.

The sister witches would be working together. Find Yvain, capture Yvain, take her heart. It could even have a situation where capturing her early (and unaware) could result in the process taking longer to trick her into being happy before killing her.

Tristan and Yvain (mostly) working together. Maybe the game would even have hidden movement for these two characters.

And, imagine how beautiful the game would look with Charles Vess on art.

You're about to get your wish...FFG is developing an app like the one they made for Descent, thus turning Imperial Assault into a fully cooperative game.
