Golden... As in Oldie! I'm new to the Portland area and looking for gamers to game with and new gaming groups to join! I'm 50+ and like most games but do have a special affinity for dry, cube pushing euros!

I'm sure this should be incredibly obvious to me but I'm still confused by this. I know military worlds are worlds with red circles and I assume non-military worlds are the rest with black circles. However the rules refer specifically to "REBEL military worlds" and "non-Alien military worlds".

After looking at the full deck I'm assuming that "REBEL military worlds" apply specifically to cards that contain the word REBEL in red in their title although I'm still not sure what "non-Alien military worlds" are and what alien military worlds would therefore be.

Alien worlds are yellow (you'll see a key for the four planet colours in the rules).

So a non-Alien military world would be any red-ringed world that isn't yellow (alien).

Alien worlds are worlds with yellow circles. (I'm pretty sure they all have the word 'Alien' in their titles, too)

Non-Alien worlds are all of the other worlds.

Non-Alien military worlds are... well, the subset of non-Alien worlds that are also military worlds. So, military worlds that are not yellow.

(Thematically, a contact specialist can't negotiate peaceful contact with hostile, abandoned precursor technology.)

The term "alien world" confused me too. "Non-alien military worlds" only occurs on the Contact Specialist Card.

In the rules it says: "Some cards refer to certain colors of worlds in your empire (see icons at right). Non-gray worlds are blue, brown, green, or yellow, representing production associated with Novelty, Rare Elements, Genes, or Alien Technology goods."

The odd thing is that Goods aren't produced at all in Jump Drive. It just takes an extra step to realise that "Alien Worlds" means "Worlds capable of producing Alien Technology.
