Greetings folks, today's featured card is the Blood Lusting Lamia. This beauty is a living terror against smaller creatures and puts your opponent's into a dilemma if they want to try to block it using non-Exalted creatures. To begin with, let us look at the basic features of this card before we dive into it's special abilities.

This card is a Greater type creature, with a hefty cost of three Lesser and two Greater Aspects. You will need a substantial amount of coaxing to get this ferocious monster into play as this card will use a large amount of your resources to summon. The benefit you get however is a strong statline with four Fight and four Life. This card can trade with creatures fairly easily and can eliminate lower Fight creatures fairly well. To top it off, this card has nasty combat abilities it can utilize if it survives a fight.

Blood Lusting Lamia draws strength from weaker creatures it damages, consuming the blood of fallen foes to grow stronger. It can even make use of the blood to heal wounds it has suffered in battle, making it a tenacious foe to deal with. In game terms every point of damage this card inflicts on a non-Exalted creature grants it a Blessing counter at the end of it's combat. This enables this creature to grow all the more stronger. Blessing counters add 1 Fight and 1 Life to the creature for each counter on it making the Lamia grow more powerful with each successful damage it inflicts.. Now Blessing counters do have their limits as only three can be on a creature at a time. It does mean though there is a potential for this card to swell to a mighty seven Fight and seven Life if the circumstances enable it. You can also heal the creature by exhausting it and removing Blessing counters, removing a Damage counter for each Blessing counter removed in this manner. This means the creature will be fresh for another fight and can regain those Blessing counters all over again.

Finally, this card's Heresy effect forces the Controlling Player to inflict two damage to a creature they control AND place a Blessing counter on another player's creature. A spiteful card when revealed, this makes a devious trap in the middle of a fight as she can enable your creatures to survive a bout where they would otherwise die thanks to the damage inflicted and Blessing counter gained.

So if you desire a self sustaining card that can gain power from those it defeats look to the Blood Lusting Lamia.
