- Iron Jaws (Bear Trap): Damages and stops movement of one Human.

- Iron Cage: Prevents movement of one human until destroyed or number of turns pass.

- Iron Gate: Prevents leaving of room until destroyed.

- Flooded Room: Slows movement and attack penalty.

- Toxic Miasma: Creates penalties for Humans while in room.

- Foul Swarm: A swarm of insects and vermin scare Villagers and cause them to retreat to previous room. Hunters and Heroes unaffected.

- Flame Jets: Continuous damage to Monsters and Humans in room.

- Crushing Walls: Hall trap. Kills all Villagers in Hall. Heroes and Hunters take damage.

- Shrieking Statue: Villagers retreat in fear. All humans suffer penalties.

- Mirror of Illusions: Monsters in room receive defense bonus while in room due to confusion caused by false duplicate images created by mirror.

- Cursed Ring: Humans in room attack each other for possession of the ring.

- Harpoon and Chain: Damages and pulls Human to previous room.

- Explosive Trap: Damages Monsters and Humans in room.

-trap door to room filled with pigs trained to eat villagers: all humans in room suffer one damage until they leave room.

-Chinese finger puzzle...of death: may not move or attack until joined by second enemy.

-slide: returned to furthest point from castle heart.

-carnivorous plant: captures single human who remains trapped until health goes to zero. Trapped humans health reduces by one each round. Once trapped humans health goes to zero, carnivorous plant may trap another human.

-endangered children: Human must go directly to furthest point from castle heart to guide endangered child to safety.

-brain slugs: all humans in room do damage to each other equal to the number of humans in the room. May be distributed amongst humans in any order.

- Actually thought of a similar idea but more on the lines of collapsible floor room with a water filled pit, with a montrous octopus like "pet" looking for the next snack.

- Void (dark hole) trap.

- An RPG pnp style kind of Wolf-in-sheep's-clothing, that would be awesome.

How about more folklore type traps against the players?

Monster specific traps

Bag of rice - vampire stops to count this turn

Wolfsbane - Werewolf canot attach this turn

Sanctified circle - dulhannon canot enter this room...

You get the idea.
