The rules say that event cards are special actions that "break some of the core rules of the game." If an event card allows you to place cubes, are those cubes not subject to the cube limit shown on the card? In another post, I saw that the ultimate limit is 5 cubes per battleground.

Hi Mark,

You're maxed out at 5 regardless of the source of the cubes

Thank you for answering. So if a card's header has a limit of, say two cubes, and there are already two cubes on the card, using an event card I could add up to 3 more cubes, correct?

By the way, I really like this microgame. It has a lot of depth for only 13 cards.

I am late to this post, but it seems everything about this post is wrong:

1. There is no limit to cubes being placed on cards, which was verified in another post. In fact the rules make no mention of any cube limit.
2. The cubes in the header of a card have nothing to do with cube limit. It represents the number of cubes you may add/remove from any one battleground card when you play that card as a command action

Don't mean to argue with the a designer of the game, but the other designer states that there is no limit to the number of cubes that can be put on a card here:https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1747380/rules-questions

Hi,

Sorry about the confusion.

There is no cube limit on a card.

We had a limit at one point during the development but it is no longer there.

Have fun!
