I made a First Age Middle Earth map for Advanced Civilization as kind of an experiment. I think it turned out pretty well. I haven't had a chance to actually test it, and the "rulebook" is fairly hastily thrown together. Thought I'd share it, though.

It's a bit of an odd size (21" x 27"), sorry about that. If you are inclined to print it out, I'd recommend someone who prints on fabric (like Spoonflower or something similar) given the odd size.

Cheers.

I have some listed in the rulebook:

1. Starting Locations
1.1. Sindar – Arvenien
1.2. Morgoth – Angband
1.3. Noldor – Hithlum
1.4. Edain – Ossiriand
1.5. Naugrim – Gundabad
1.6. Ents – Fangorn
1.7. Easterlings – Rhun
1.8. Southrons – Harpalisor

I believe the board will probably only be able to support maybe 5 players though, given its size. In which case remove the Noldor, Ents, and Southrons.

EDIT: Heh, missed your edit.

Having them all as choices is still but just allow the game to have no more then 6 players.

2 games
The Southrons came in last both times.
Mogoth 1st / 2nd
Edain 2nd / 1st
Easterlings 3rd place both times

The south needs wither more lands or turn Har-Lethren, Dorgaloss, Dorgaeron into 2 pop lands.

The channel keeps turning into a bottleneck and really hurts the Southrons at Ithilien.
It is too easy to hurt them there and more pop lands and possibly one more city site would really be best for them to be even useful to play.

Very tight map even with 4 players and 5 would be max here.

The East side would be nice to extend at least one more player board size by adding in a little more land and possible south as well.

Possible numenor before the 3rd age

But better if it has more eastern or southern.

Thanks so much for your playtesting and feedback! I'm not sure when I'll get around to making edits, but when I do I will certainly do so with your feedback in mind.
