Hello and welcome,

this thread hosts an Road to Legend Campaign.

Comments and remarks are welcomed, either via Forum Mail or as post in this thread.

I play with the following customized rules / game setup:

General & Overland Map:
G1. all 74 dungeons from RtL and SoB
G2. dungeons: are shuffled when exhausted
G3. custom feats: are shuffled when exhausted
G4. C/S/G-treasures: not bought/discarded treasures are shuffled back at EoW
G3. rumors: no news/tavern brawl/discarded rumors are shuffled back at EoW
G4. final battle as RtL rules, but the OL may use threat as in encounters
G5. all named monsters from RtL dungeons have +8w +1a per campaign level > copper
G6. overlord's keep counts as 4th level for adding w/a for named monsters

Encounters:
E1. +1T per encounter turn for OL
E2. OL using threat to boost damage is limited to 5 dice upgrades (~PowerPotion)
E3. OL using threat to boost movement is limited to double monster speed
E4. locations are shuffled before each encounter
E5. encounters are shuffled if the deck is exhausted
E6. played encounters are discarded
E7. drawn encounters not matching the color code are shuffled back at EoW
E8. flying/soaring monsters must choose to be on ground level or sky level (+4r)
E9. melee attacks with reach can not target figures on sky level (+4r)
E10. heros can move through flying/soaring monsters if those are on sky level (+4r)
E11. heros can melee attack flying/soaring monsters if those are on ground level
E12. flying heros have no range penalty to flying monsters and can use melee attacks

Overlord:
O1. Thaadd the Destroyer: equipped items are those in hands/armor/other/potion slot
O2. Crushing Blow: works always for shop and only on power/~/~ for C/S/G items
O3. Crushing Blocks (or other obstacles) may NOT be placed adjacent to a glyph
O4. pits deal 2 wounds, like trap cards do
O5. command: affects all spaces a small figure with speed 3 could fly to
O6. a 'dark charm'ed hero makes only one attack under the control of the OL (no rage)
O7. after a 'Killing Blow' feat card from the heros an attack is not dodge-able anymore
O8. OL must announce which cards he adds to/removes from his deck using treachery

Heros:
H1. heros can draw from treasure decks equal or less than the current campaign level
H2. Rapid Fire is limited to once per attack
H3. a cursed item curses its owner each time it is equipped into hands/armor/other slot
H4. knockback works only on enemy figures
H5. shadowsoul before everything else
H6. secret masters offer 2W/1F as training option
H7. sleeping heros cannot do anything
H8. hero group total fatigue may not exceed 24
H9. Blessed/Spiritwalker/Astarra/Kirga: like command with range 3/5

Custom Feats:
=============

=> each deck has the same size of 16 cards
=> all feats which cause an interrupt during the OL turn are removed
=> each deck has 75% cards which are useable by all classes
=> each deck has 25% cards which are useable only by 'own' class
=> each deck type should get shuffled when that type is exhausted
=> cards played at start of OL turn must be played before the OL does anything
=> each deck has two cards with 'limited' value (Lunge, SfD, SoP)

(ba) play before an attack (=before rolling dice)
(aa) play after an successfull attack
(ot) play at start of own turn
(at) play at start of any players turn
(tc) play when overlord successfully plays a trap card
* the feat's duration lasts till the start of the hero's next turn

3x Follow Through => 4x (aa) Power: your attack gains +2 damage
2x Hurry => 4x (ot) Hurry: one additional attack during your turn

2x Lunge => 2x (ba) Lunge: your melee attack gains reach

I dunno ... 3 dead heros in the first level. Somehow i am either playing lousy with low armored heros or there was just no way around it with Spider Queen and a level where traps cost 3T less. Guess positioning Jonas in front at turn 1 wasn't too clever but then there was not much i could do about the 2nd and 3rd kill.
