Going to be playing this game for the first time tomorrow, and I have a few questions after my first read through the rules...

1: Parts - what are they used for? The rules make no mention of them besides how many you start with.

2: Fuel: Is there any way to purchase more fuel besides being solid with Harkin?

3: Selling/buying things to/from contacts you are solid with...Do you have to be in the contact's space on the board to do so? Does it take an action to do so? If so, what action?

Thanks,
Eric

Parts are used to get around breakdowns...they happen when you fly. (cards in the Nav deck)

Fuel can be purchased from any supply planet during a Buy action. Also you can sometimes run to into rouge traders

3. Yes you have to be in their home space. Yes, it takes a Deal action (but you sell the stuff as an extra part of dealing for new missions.)

To expand on #2 a bit, whenever you take a Buy Action you may also by as many Fuel (for 100 each) and Parts (for 300 each) as you want.

However, if you use a Buy Action to take Shore Leave, you cannot buy Fuel and Parts. Everyone is relaxing and not worrying about restocking the ship.
