Backstory: The people in New Orleans, who was in a constant battle with their neighours Mississippi, have turned to their local dark arts and beliefs for help with their fight. The dark arts of voodoo...

Playstyle: This army does not have any regular modules, instead will your HQ Ability, some instant tiles (Spellcasting) and a few units (Witch doctor), will give you "spell markers". "Spells" are different markers with different effects, making the army and units customizable, but there is only one of each marker. "Spells" can be placed on any tiles (your own or the enemys) but never on any HQs. All tiles may only allow 1 mark on them unless a "Dark Altar" is on the board. The Army has alot of decent units and many instant tiles, but will be weaker then other armies. A good mix between ranged and melee, but with no unit has int 3 unit, no toughness or armor and only the Witch doctors has an ability.

The HQ work much like the Neuroshima Duel mechanic, each additional tile discarded will give you 1 spell marker to place on the board.

Sounds interesting!

FWIW introducing a second entirely different but game-significant meaning for the word "hex" sounds potentially rather confusing! Maybe "spell" (a word which actually seems more commonly used with "voodoo" based on a very cursory web search )?

Well as you can see i listened to you. Hex sounds cooler but like you said i don't want any confusion.

If anyone has any good idea for a spell please tell me. also any feedback is also appreciated!

Not familiar enough with the game yet to really comment on the army, but I think you could spice it up a little with some research to put more personality into the name and units.

Do some research on Voodoo-related terms for example:
http://www.beliefnet.com/news/2002/02/voodoo-glossary-of-ter...

As for the name itself, Bayou is cool but "Boyz" needs to go I think. Boyz I feel is more connected with inner-city gangs. Whereas Bayou region is you know, probably haitian/african origins plus Cajun guys (french).

So Cajun slang maybe:

Just some ideas I Think to take the theme to the next level

Cool i will defiantly look at it and rename some units.

The reason why opted for "Boyz" was for the gang association. What i have understood of the neuroshima lore is that are lot of gangs ruling and running the world.
