We played this 10 times with the Traitor winning 9 times. The only time the Mechanics won was with a 10yo traitor who couldn't keep a straight face.

Any other opinions?

We just played this last week and found it the exact opposite. The traitors could never win. The boss picks a car to fix and you solve with as few players as possible with the other players taking off everyone else. This means there are only two or three players that are contributing to fixing the car.

If there is a traitor it will fail and those players will be taken off going forward, but typically it passed (we had 9 or 10 players) which meant they were likely good and we tried to fix cars only with those people while taking everyone else off (one person puts anything in and the next player takes them off around the table until there is no one contributing except a few people).

If anyone tried to follow a different strategy then they were most likely a traitor because we figured out pretty quickly that this works.

We will try again a few times next week but it seems like, unless we are missing some rules (or house rule something in like only 2 people can be removed from the round in addition to the Day Off card the boss can play), it is too easy to follow that strategy and have the traitors lose every time.
