I am sorry if this has been asked before. I have searched but didn't find anything. Does the Block ability prevent hadrathus from leaving a zone using teleport?

If hadrathus would only have the spell casting skill, then yes, but he also has a skill that lets him ignore monster skills whilst casting (concentration or something similar).

Thats not correct.
He can 'magic out' from the snake. Teleportation is not a move, but a spell action, which is not affected by the block skill. (Common sense: a giant snake curling around easily blocks movement, but has no power to block magic)

Concentration is a weird skill. You can make ranged attacks and complex manipulations (or any other dicerole) without hindering. A bit of a mix between precision strike and lock-picking

To quote the source, page 16 of the v2 Heroes' book:

Quote:
Casting a spell is not affected by hindering (See page 17–18).

@Stephan
Hindering has nothing to do with the block skill.
Spellcasting is not made harder if you are surounded by enemies. (Hindering)
The blcok skill prevents enemies from moving out of your area, so it blocks move actions, not other actions a hero may take.

Thank you for the replies. I was hoping for something more definitive, maybe something that got lost in translation. Something like "block prevents models from using movement actions". It seems RAW currently means you can't use teleport to leave. I actually agree with that - someone trying to hit you with a hammer whilst you are trying to cast a spell would put you off a bit.

Teleporting is actually not a move. It is a spell that should be considered "disappearing" from one place and "reappearing" in another. Blocking therefore cannot prevent it.
Also, spell casting is not hindered by the presence of ennemies. Even if it was, most spell casters have the concentration skill.

Which is no use for casting spells, since those are not affected by hindering
The only things you can do better with concentration are ranged attacks, picking locks and throwing things. OK, the throwing is usefull for wizards throwing orbs at enemies, but the skill does not help during spellcasting.
Maybe its just thematic, because a wizard should be good at concentration.
