if this has been asked before i apologize in advance.

so anyway, its my first play and i'm sitting here looking at a tile i just drew from the dungeon stack. on the tile (which is an unnamed two way black triangle hallway) there are four traps blocking the exit and NO monster symbol on the tile. whats up with that? does that mean that no monsters are drawn for the tile? i've looked through the rules and theres nothing. please help.

(also, a side question: when a tile has two monster symbols, the rules state that you place an extra monster. is this extra monster a new draw from the deck or is it simply a duplicate of whats already been placed?)

thank you.

Yes, no monster icon equals no monster spawned. You will set down the trap tiles and draw an encounter card if there is a small black triangle

Each monster symbol is its own monster so draw that many (0-3) monster cards and place those monsters. Of course since a player/hero can only control one of any type of monster, discard and re-draw any duplicates.
