Hello! I represent a Chicago-based company called Chicagoland Games: Dice Dojo and we will be in the St. Louis-Area at the start of next month (April 7th-9th) for the Wizard World Comic Convention. When Wizard World comes to Chicago, we run a giant Demo area where people can come and play games AND have knowledgeable folks teach them how different games work, or just provide an area where they can play. We are now doing this for their entire tour and our next stop is in St. Louis!
We are looking for people who are friendly, outgoing, and most of all good teachers to be ambassadors of the hobby. If you are interested, you will be given free admission to the convention, as well as the opportunity to attend events, and even get an autograph or two from the attending celebrities. We are looking for people for all three days and you will be required to be on hand for a minimum of 6 hours per scheduled day (you are not required to attend all three days, but would love it if you did) in exchange for your admission to the convention. So if this interests you please contact us at:
with the Subject line: Wizard World Cleveland Volunteer so we can get your information and ensure your attendance.
The scheduled hours of the convention are:
And you can see the scheduled guests for this convention here:
This was a great success this past weekend in Cleveland and a great time was had by all. We even had some local game designers volunteer and they were showing off their latest games. So if you are a game designer and would like to show off your latest projects, or if you are just a board-game addict like us and love spreading the joy that comes from introducing people to this great hobby of ours, your opportunity is calling! We typically bring games in the gateway-medium weight range from our own Demo Library however if there are specific titles you are more comfortable with we are open to that as well. We look forward to hearing from you and hope to see you next month in St. Louis!
If I would have know about tbis earlie, I'd have definitely volunteered for it. Not enough time to get off work now.
