It was delivered on Mar., 3rd in Canada by the noted American Marxist and journalist, Chris Hedges.

He says some of the milder parts of this worst case have already started and you have heard if it.
He says worse things have already started and you haven't heard of them until now.
He lays out his view of what is going to happen. For example, the arrest of all who publically oppose Trump, without charges or due process of law. Etc.

This is just the 1st part, I hope he has some encouraging things to say, like how we can put a stop to it now, before it is too late.

If he is right you need to watch this so you know what to look for as signs that the worst is soon to follow. So, that you can protect yourself.

Why would Trump want to try his hand at fascist dictator when the current job is working so well?

Sure a President can wreak real havoc on the republic if he wants do. Why does he want to? Where is the incentive?

My guess would be that it is Bannon calling the shots.

+2 to Daniel for correct spelling and usage of the word "wreak."

Sorry, but some looney-tunes leftist spouting off about the upcoming police state? It's been done, much better, by the crazies back in the 1960s. Ain't gonna happen. Not that Bannon isn't the prototype Sith Lord or that Trump actually cares about the revolutionary aspect of the American Constitution. But the rest of the government isn't going to go along with that kind of crap.

Bannon doesn't have the constitution of Cheney, and if that fucker didn't subvert the state into a totalitarian regime, Bannon never will.

Furthermore, Bannon will be dead in a few years, because he is one unhealthy looking dude - so even if he did pull off a coup, he won't last long. He looks like a less-svelte Palpatine, post run-in with Mace.

Definitely some heart disease issue he is dealing with.

Chris Hedges is NOT a Marxist.

Author Chris Hedges

As per Wikipedia: Christopher Lynn Hedges (born September 18, 1956) is an American Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, professor at Princeton University, author of several New York Times best-sellers, and a Presbyterian minister.

Hedges is known as the author of "War Is a Force That Gives Us Meaning" (2002) — a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award for Non-Fiction — "Empire of Illusion: The End of Literacy" and "The Triumph of Spectacle" (2009), "Death of the Liberal Class" (2010), the New York Times best seller, written with cartoonist Joe Sacco, "Days of Destruction, Days of Revolt" (2012), and his most recent "Wages of Rebellion: The Moral Imperative of Revolt" (2015).

Hedges is a columnist for the progressive news and commentary website Truthdig. Hedges spent nearly two decades as a foreign correspondent in Central America, West Asia, Africa, and the Balkans. He has reported from more than fifty countries, and has worked for The Christian Science Monitor, NPR, Dallas Morning News, and The New York Times, where he was a foreign correspondent for fifteen years (1990–2005).

In 2001, Hedges contributed to the The New York Times staff entry that received the 2002 Pulitzer Prize for Explanatory Reporting for the paper's coverage of global terrorism. He also received the Amnesty International Global Award for Human Rights Journalism in 2002. He has taught at Columbia University, New York University, the University of Toronto and Princeton University, where he is currently a visiting lecturer in African American studies.

Hedges has taught college credit courses for several years in New Jersey prisons. He currently teaches a course through Princeton University where half of the students are prisoners and half are Princeton undergraduates.

Hedges has described himself as a Socialist, and more specifically as a Christian Anarchist, identifying with the tradition of Dorothy Day in particular.

Dorothy Day

Dorothy Day (November 8, 1897 – November 29, 1980) was an American journalist, social activist, and Catholic convert. Day became famous after her conversion. She initially lived a bohemian lifestyle before becoming Catholic. This conversion is described in her autobiography, "The Long Loneliness".

Day's social activism is also described in her autobiography. In 1917 she was imprisoned as a member of suffragist Alice Paul's non-violent Silent Sentinels. In the 1930s, Day worked closely with fellow activist Peter Maurin to establish the Catholic Worker Movement, a pacifist movement that combines direct aid for the poor and homeless with nonviolent direct action on their behalf. She practiced Civil Disobedience, which led to additional arrests in 1955, 1957, and in 1973 at the age of 75.

Day was also an active journalist, and described her social activism in her writings. As part of the Catholic Worker Movement, Day co-founded the Catholic Worker newspaper in 1933, and served as its editor from 1933 until her death in 1980. In this newspaper, Day advocated the Catholic economic theory of Distributism, which she considered a third way between Capitalism and Socialism. Her activism and writing gave her a national reputation as a political radical, perhaps the most famous radical in American Catholic Church history.

Dorothy Day's life is an inspiration for the Catholic Church. Pope Benedict XVI used her conversion story as an example of how to "journey towards faith... in a secularized environment." Pope Francis included her in a short list of exemplary Americans, together with Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Jr., and Thomas Merton, in his address before the United States Congress. The Church has opened the cause for Day's possible canonization, which was accepted by the Holy See for investigation. Due to this, the Church refers to her with the title of Servant of God.

As I pointed out in an earlier post of mine -- accessible by clicking the following link -- entitled The Groundwork For The Anti-Science, Anti-Environmentalism, & Anti-Medicine Agenda For The Trump/Pence Administration Was Laid In Canada, since Dominionists control the Trump/Pence administration, in the days, weeks, months, and years ahead, we shouldn't be surprised by news stories like the ones I cited, because American Dominionists undoubtedly will employ anti-environmental, anti-medicine, and anti-science strategies that worked for their Canadian brethren. In essence, Canada had served as the Dominionists' pilot program for developing those strategies. I also cited a passage alluding to Chris Hedges' own investigation into the matter.

> Excerpts from the February 6, 2015 Watershed Sentinel feature story by Joyce Nelson entitled:

The Harper Government And Evangelical Capitalism

According to author/activist Chris Hedges, the Council for National Policy brought together Dominionist Evangelicals and the "right-wing industrialists willing to fund them." The Council for National Policy meets in utmost secrecy three times per year and gives billions of dollars to right-wing Christian organizations. Its membership and donor lists are not disclosed, and its events are closed to the public and the press. The Council for National Policy is known, however, to have given an award to the billionaire Koch Brothers, who are heavily involved in the tar sands and in funding the Fraser Institute.

So, we should consider heeding Chris Hedges' warning.
