Redscape runs a PBEM version of CFR (nee Speed Circuit). We are wrapping up our third and final race for season 3. Season 4 will begin in May with the first of three races.

Format: Three laps per race with three turns per week. It takes about 3-4 months to complete a race. Turns are adjudicated simultaneously. Expect 12 drivers per race.

Rules: Official CFR rules are in use (and have been for years). There are specific PBEM rules for plot submissions which, for obvious reasons, must contain more than just speed. The time commitment for writing plots is as little as a few minutes per turn.

Series: Upon completion of a season, drivers can be promoted or relegated to higher / lower circuits. We currently have three circuits and are looking to add a fourth.

Tracks: Doug Schulz has graciously agreed to develop three historic tracks for us to run in season 4. Rouen (1957) is first and ready to go.

Website: www.redscape.com. The racing forums are about half-way down the page where you'll find both current races and an archive of about 20 completed races. Registration at the site is not required to race but if you choose to do so, the answer to the security question is Diplomacy.

Redscape races are included in the annual driver standings published by Doug Schulz.

Please respond here or send a PM if you are interested in racing. Barring some volunteer race marshals (which would allow greater expansion), there will only be 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 spots available.

If there are any new players to the game (or players who haven't raced in a while), I am more than happy to run a test lap.

Drive fast & take chances!
Mike
