That's what's confusing me. For the US #31 M3 HALFTRACK it reads... BOG:4/w7
I know the w7 is the w7 column on the bottom of a Action Card when on a wire. But what is the 4? is it column 4?
Did you read this sentence?
You draw a card and check an RPC number at the bottom of the card to see if it is RED. The Bog numbers simply indicates particular RPC column checked: The w number for entering Wire and the other number when entering Gully, Stream or Woods.
For a 4/w7: You check the 4 column on Stream, Gully or Woods,
You check 7 on Wire.
Let's look a Tiger Tank: German 36 4/w0:
You check the 4 column on Stream, Gully or Woods,
You check the 0 column on Wire.
I think I know what your problem is here: You ASS-U-ME the w on the AFV card and the w on the Action card next to RPC7 are the same. They are not.
The letters on each Action card mean nothing when you check for bog--they are used for other reminders in the game:
2b - Used as the starting RPC column when infiltrating a "Buttoned Up AFV"
4c - Used as the starting RPC column when infiltrating a "Crew Exposed AFV"
5o - Used as the starting RPC column when infiltrating a "Open Topped AFV"
7w - Used to check for "Wounds"
0r - Used for checking for "rout"/KIA when a pinned man panics.
