I understand and have used all of your suggestions before posting this question. All I am saying is that it improve usability? By doing this, it wouldn't ruin the site. It would enhance the site. It would not keep anyone from clicking on the images....
Bottom line...It just makes sense. At least it does to me!
I like that "click and find out" argument. I think it should be used for other BGG things too. E.g., why do all these forum messages show the name of the user who posted them? That's too easy. You should have to click the message and be taken to the author's profile to find out who they are. That would definitely be much better.
