This slightly ups the difficulty and makes the monsters behave a little less predictable. Also it will speed up the game-play a bit as you do not have to discuss where a monster walks if it has multiple spaces where all the focus/targeting/no-disadvantage requirements are fulfilled.
If there are 2 optimal spaces we roll 1-3 vs 4-6 - if there are 3 we roll 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, if there are 4 we roll 1,2,3,4 - reroll on 5/6.

Seems like rolling dice will slow things down significantly. Our discussion 90% of the time in this situation is "is this spot ok? yeah? ok". I also don't want unpredictable movement - a huge part of the strategy of the game is abusing the monster's AI as much as you can. This one is not for me!
I don't understand how this would speed up gameplay. We tend to have monster movement memorized after a couple of their turns. The bulk of the time is spent determining their focus and maximizing their attack.
I know some folks where this HR would be very helpful with gameplay, but as for the group I play Gloomhaven with, there is no discussion time to eliminate and we prefer less randomness. Also, no desire to break out another component.
