Hello,

Great implementation, loving it so far...

it might have been signaled already, but, on ios, 2 players, Rebel vs Imperium scenario: if you try with or without goals, it doesn't change, the goals are in.

Cheers

Hello,

Loving the app, too.

A small thing: I can't copy-paste the friend codes from the web browser to the app.

Hi there,

I think there's a wee bug in the tutorial. In the third part when paying for Merchant Guild

The first card you attempt to swipe for payment doesn't get 'swiped', instead Empath World disappears from your tableau for first card payment. Could be real confusing to new players.

Hope that makes sense.
Other than that looks good so far.

Hello Racers :-)

This morning I installed the beta version and did a quick game against AI.

Graphically wonderful. Without passing for the tutorial, the application is intuitive.

For now, a small flaw. In Android world, there is a button labeled "back". This button is used to go back one screen and especially to close the app. Please activate it. On my Galaxy S6 Edge Plus I cannot close the app.

Will follow other feedback.

Good job.

I'm loving this app! The interface is really sexy and everything is still legible on my iPhone 7p.

Annoyances - I can't listen to my own music/podcast while playing, which makes it kind of a no-go for commuting. I have fat fingers and selecting phases is hard, I wish the selection area went all the way to the left side of the screen. Selecting goals to get their description is also hard.

Bug:

Here I chose the Development phase (-1 cost for developments), developed Investment Credits (development cost 1), and was subsequently asked to discard a card to pay for it.

Cards are not active during the phase they are played, so this is normal.

If he chose the phase, Investment Credits should cost 0 (it's in the post).

Does the little Explore +1, +1 icon under your avatar mean you might have chosen Explore, though?

Sorry if it was already mentioned...cant read all the comments right now

Downloaded it yesterday and played three games. I like it very much so far - finally able to play Race - I only have Roll at home.

As for the app I would have 4 suggestions:

#1 As I am playing on the phone I tend to zoom in the cards quite a lot. So maybe it could be nice if - when zoomed in - a swipe to the left or right could bring up the next card. Right now I have to double tap one card. Exit . Double Tap the next one and so on. This can be a little cumbersome when having 10 cards. This gets better when you play more and remember some of the cards, but as a newbie I dont know which is which

#2 An "more interesting" finale!
Now we only have the screen with the final scoring. It would be nice (I think) if we could have something like an overview, what stuff scored how much. Especially with the 6+ pieces. Something like: You got 5 Points for Planets. 10 for Technology. 10 for VP Points and for Card "blabla" (insert Random 6+ card) you get this amount and for Card "blabla2" you get this amount. I think this could maybe also help new players to figure out how much worth the individual 6+ cards had this game.

#3 Double tapable cards in the tutorial
First of all - nice job on the tutorial. Worked quite nice for me. I only wished that when some info bubbles came that I could double tap the cards (which the bubble tells me to play) to see what the actual do

#4 Some infos while creating the game
Some infos what the individual expensions do and what the "experienced 2 player" does. I know the last one is in the rules section (somewhere in the end) but I think it couldn't hurt to present it while creating the game in some manner

otherwise great start and I look forward to the "real game"
cheers
Dom

Correct, and it looks like you didn't pick develop so you don't get to discount.

+1 to this idea. Default to the current scoring screen, then a details button to show something like the above.

#3 Double tapable cards in the tutorial

+1 for this. As somewhat of a newbie, I really wanted to see the cards the tutorial was telling me to select. Just following instructions without seeing the cards was not very helpful to understanding what was happening.
In addition to that, my eyesight sucks.

I've just chosen the wrong starting planet for the 8th time. The game trains you to choose the card you discard, and that's what you do in every single situation except this one (even when you're choosing 1 of 8 to keep the game tells you to discard 7). It becomes very counter-intuitive, and even worse it's the one action without an undo.

Great implementation so far, just a couple of observations.

I am playing on an android Samsung Tab 4 and find I cannot create a profile, If I do it asks for a name and I can't type into the name box, using the onscreen keyboard doesn't work and then I cannot save the profile as it has no name.

The Tab 4 has the power socket on the bottom so I tend to often use it upside down. The game doesn't recognize this and rotate the screen through 180 degrees, I can understand the need to force it to landscape rather than portrait but it would be great if it could rotate 180 degrees if needed.

OH and much as I love the game, being able to quit it would be great lol. Maybe activate the back button on androids for this?

Apart from that great game so far.

Cards you can choose like start worlds or cards with powers are outlined in green. Cards you can discard are outlined in red.

Observations on iPhone 7plus:

Game crashes with the following procedure
1) Go to the start game screen, configure a game against one AI.
2) lock the phone, so that the screen goes black.
3) wait 30 seconds, unlock phone.
4) click/unclick the 2p advanced check box.
5) tilt the phone so that the screen turns around.

The app will crash on either 3, 4 or 5, depending on the current wave size at Cape Horn.

Consumption phase:
Instead of first choosing planet to activate and then discard resources, how about dragging the resources to the planet?
That should save some clicking for the user.

Own cards:
I just tried to develop a card I already had bought before.
For players of similar limited prowess it could be an idea to mark already developed cards, possible with a gray border or by having the card itself grayed out.

Yep, but considering the rest of the game has you choosing what to discard, muscle memory overtakes colour recognition.

Any chance that they can change the visual from pick = green and discard = red, to something more color neutral? I'm thinking a red/green colorblind individual can struggle with this. Perhaps pick = outlined color, while discard = 'X' over the card.

Love the game so far!

I have one suggestion and I would like to get other people's opinion. I hate having to drag cards all the time. I would love to be able to double tap to select a card to discard. That would make game play much faster.

As far as I can tell, single tap does nothing. Long-tap displays card info similar to double-tap. Could single-tap replace double-tap for the display, or only use long tap for card info. And then use double-tap to select a card instead of having to drag it (or as an additional option to dragging)? This would make the interface similar to how Star Realms handles card selection which I think is a very good interface.

I have had only two minor issues, but unfortunately I do not have helpful information yet.

1) The game crashed the first time I ran it. It got to the main screen and after about 5 seconds it just crashed to desktop. I had not pressed anything. This has not happened again. I mention it just for the record.

2) I had one instance where the undo button would not do anything after I had selected discards for a deep explore. I have not been able to reproduce it, but if I do I will hopefully be able to provide more details.

Maybe it's just me, but I HATE how the icons for 6-cost developments come "off" the card. I am so used to looking at the icons on the card and it's jarring for them to disappear off to the right side of the screen.

Thanks for the feedback, was wondering how that would go over We'll look into improving that so either the summary symbols persist or with some other solution.

Yikes, that looks like a bug. Will make sure it's fixed in the next update.

Hm, that's not supposed to happen! We've heard of another bug where cards were being discared out of tableau (starting world in that case) which we haven't been able to repro, but is definitely something we're working to fix.

Thanks, we've gotten this suggestion a few times and will look into implementing it in the next build.

I've found a bug in the name entry system (on the Android version): whenever I enter a 'D', the keyboard closes, for some reason. Also, pressing the Android back navigation button with the keyboard active brings me back to the title screen, with the keyboard still active (without a way to close it).

Another suggestion I'd like to see is use of 'immersive mode' for the Android version (hiding the navigation buttons until you swipe up).

Other than that, great implementation so far

Got a bug here- using contact specialist and replicant robots to build convict mines, it says to select a settlement power, but neither are highlighted, and I can click OK. When clicked it gets built and the windfall good is placed there, but it still wants a settlement power.

I'll see if I can reproduce it.

Tried with just base game, and contact specialist/replicant robot worked fine together, but later on in another game got this:

I'm building rebel stronghold, and I need to use Trade Emissary with replicant robots and discard my entire hand, but even though it's let me play it, the only power I can select is military tactics, which won't give me enough military to play it. As before I can't move the game on and have to reset.

I just got a similar problem. I also have Contact Specialists and Replicant Robots in my tableau and settled Rebel Warrior Base, which costs 3. It let me place the card in my tableau, but then asks me to select a settlement power. But contact specialists is not highlighted so I can't select it!
