That's really disappointing to hear (I'm not signed up for the beta myself so I haven't tried it yet). I would normally expect to use it while commuting as well, and likewise I would be wanting to listen to music/podcasts at the same time, so being stuck with the in-game sounds would be extremely limiting.

For either Android or iOS... don't they let you play music in the background, so you that could be done while running another app?

I discovered a bug that consistently crashes/closes the game:

If I play New Worlds and before I select my starting world touch the lower half of the phase V (Produce) icon, it closes/crashes the game instantly and then you have to restart it (it will allow you to resume that technically unstarted game though). It only crashes when touching the lower half of the V icon, not any of the other icons or any other part of the screen that I could discover (interestingly enough).

I get the same thing. Some sort of graphical artifact?

Also, when you tie it doesn't show the tie breaking conditions (hand cards + goods) on the Score screen.

3 plays in. Very smooth, no bugs so far. One suggestion, the next page arrow on the rulebook page is easy to miss. I couldnt find it my first game! Any way to make it bigger or more prominent? Thanks!

With Hidden Fortess in play, my tableau expands too far to the right, and I can't see the available bonuses. There didn't seem to be a method to move my cards out of the way.

On a side note, I did notice a More button appear at other times, but it didn't seem to be relevant or functional when it appeared.

I was also able to reproduce this on my iPad 2, running 9.3.5.

Additionally, it did the same when I ran a base game only. It did before I discarded any cards, after discarding one, and after discarding two but before hitting the OK button.

Have not tried it with any of the other expansions. Guessing you'll find the same bug with them as well.

Wow, this is great, will fix.

The hidden fortress overrun will be fixed next build.

We redesigned the (busted) 'more' feature away. Will be gone next build.

I'll look into the music issue, prob won't be next build though but will get fixed!

That's not a button, I think, just a reminder thing disguised as one. It indicates that the action is not completed yet, and that you still have to perform stuff. Like choosing cards to pay for your new planet, or such.

Seeing it first, it confused me as well - it looks very much like a button, but doesn't act like one.

EDIt- iPhone 6 with up to date iOS.

Same thing happened again, I just traded with the trade league, but my cards haven't arrived and the gambling results are stuck on the screen with no way to get rid of them.

Quite a few games in now, and it is playing really well. No bugs to report so far.

Is there any intention though to include some accumulated player stats, wins/losses that sort of thing?

i got locked on this screen..
i just played the 3settle /4pts rebal world
think its asking me to select contact specialists.. but its not letting me.. no undo button at this point ..
i can ID the contact card for its large screen info
i can select other parts of the screen e.g opponets areas. and use the side buttons..

closed out and back in same screen unable to progress other then quit out..

I see the contact specialist one has been raise above/before..

in other news
had about 3 good games.. this 1 crash and 1 game also close but was able to resume "think it was settle phase.." really impressed


another question expansions whats the NW expansion?


Final question bug maybe..
the card that lets you settle x2..
think it let me settle 3 with military ... unsure if its my rules or the apps rules that are wrong..might have 2 player double settle?

Not from Apple (since the product is in beta). You install the Test Flight app and download the beta version from there.

From Android, use the link in the e-mail instead of searching the app store. Otherwise, you will end up buying the product from the app store (if your credit card is linked to your store account).

Not sure if this is a bug, but it was a little confusing. I guess I understand now.

I had 3 windfall planets (brown, blue and brown). I selected Produce (and I had the Mining League in play area, which would give me ability to produce on a brown windfall, plus the bonus selection of any windfall since I chose Produce).

The first screen shows Runaway Robots and Destroyed Worlds with green highlight. When I picked Runaway Robots, there was the "woosh" sound, and the green highlight switched from "Runaway Robots" to the "Rebel Sympathizers" (blue windfall). (Destroyed Worlds still had green highlight too). See image # 1

Without finalizing my turn, I exited the game, started again and clicked resume (so I got to try again). This time, I picked "Destroyed Worlds", and the green highlight changed from "Destroyed Worlds" to "Rebel Sympathizers". (Runaway Robots still had green highlight too). See image #2

I selected Runaway Robots, and brown cards got added to the two brown windfalls (Runaway Robots and Destroyed World). See image #3.

Maybe if I had the picked blue windfall Rebel Sympathizers first (as the bonus for Produce), then I would have seen two green highlights (on both of the brown windfalls?). But since I picked a brown windfall first, apparently that was my bonus from Produce action... so the next windfall had to be brown (from Mining League).

I think the prompt was the same (for both the Produce bonus, and the power on the Mining League)

iPad tester here. First of all, thank you for letting me participate - the app works well in general and I'm having tons of fun. It takes a bit of time to find all the ins and outs of the GUI, but it is intuitive enough to learn how to play without the tutorial.

I think that I found a bug as well. I had ten cards in my tableau, in a two player expert game (two actions per turn), and was in the lead. So I wanted to finish the game quickly, before Keldon's AI could catch up (I'm having a hard enough time to win from the bastard, so take any chance I got to do so). In my hand I had two developments (and a few other cards; a six-point one that would net me some bonus points and the development that counts as three cards when you sacrifice it to play another development card.
So I choose develop - develop as my actions. I first played that sacrifice card, then played the six-point card. As part of paying for that six point card, I had to sacrifice the first development card - the app wouldn't let me pay three more cards from my hand instead. So I couldn't finish the round.
I won a round later anyway, but I shouldn't have had to do that.

A couple of remarks about the GUI:
* At the start, first the goals show up, then the start worlds, then the hand cards. Sometimes you seem to get everything at once, other times there is a bit of a lag. Not annoyingly so, BTW.
Would it be possible to see the hand cards first, and then the start worlds? When the start worlds pop up, I immediately want to make a choice, but cannot do so yet because I need to see the hand cards first. It's just a small point, but if the hand cards were visible before the start worlds showed up, the player can choose immediately.

* At the start, you must select the start world you keep, and the hand cards you don't keep. I'm used to that now, having played Keldon's AI often on the computer, but I still find it a bit counter-intuitive. A player should either select both the start world and the hand cards he wants to keep, or the start world and hand cards he wants to discard.

* As someone said earlier in the thread, the six-point developments are difficult to recognize, with the point tableau in the upper right corner missing. But I like it that way; you can see more of the art now. The 'naked' cards take a bit of getting used to, but that will just be a matter of time.

* The goals; I couldn't see which ones were 'first to do X' and which ones were 'get most of X at end of game'. Neither could I see the points you get from them. Not really a problem for seasoned players (and I fancy myself to be one of those), but it might be helpful for newbies.

6 cost -1 = 5
UI: only highlights R&D (not hand cards)

So the error seems to be you had the full 5 card payment to in your hand, but the game didn't recognize that and forced you to use R&D? I know it does require you if you don't have enough hand cards, maybe there was a mistake in the calc of num hand cards needed. I'll double check.

Yeah that start lag thing is on the list (has to do if you are where you are in turn order...) This causes another slighltly annoying point at the end of the phase when the AI chooses it's role 'before' you get the option to choose your role, and if the AI takes time it's annoying (when it should just choose at the same time you are choosing). These are on a tier-2 fix list, but we'll get to them!

A lot of folks expect to discard the start world, heh, I've been interpreting it as 'place a start world' then 'discard' but I might be in the minority.

Almost. I had a -1 discount on playing developments (should have mentioned that earlier), so the 6-point card would have cost me four hand cards. I had exactly four cards in my hand after playing that 6-point card, but after I discarded one of them, R&D got highlighted and I could only click OK.
