This saturday sees the first July meeting of Beyond Monopoly! York's friendliest boardgames club.
Did you see the BM! stand in York for the chess weekend? Have you seen our announcements here on BGG? Have you had the club recommended by a friend? Well now is the time to spring into action and come and visit us at the Railway Institute in York!
It's on Queen Street, York (a stone's throw from the railway station). There's a NCP car park at the rear, while the York Council parking on Nunnery Lane is a 5 minute walk. There are plenty of poles/railings etc. to chain bikes to, while plenty of buses stop at the station (including Park and Ride). We'll be in our normal room on the 2nd floor. Directions for those still unsure: http://bmyork.pbwiki.com/Find%20The%20Railway%20Institute
The club is open from 10AM-6PM and your first visit is free! Normal prices are; £3 for adults, £2 students/unwaged/pensioners and £1 for children 8-12 yrs. No late arrival discount, but feel free to pop by anytime.
The RI has a bar which serves food until 1.30, drink until 2.30, and there is no problem with bringing your own. A water bottle is a good idea for the afternoon (there are taps from which it can be filled).
So what are you waiting for? A warm welcome and a wide variety of modern, fast, fun boardgames (and some old favourites) are in store. See you on saturday at Beyond Monopoly!
