Last week I started to paint the miniatures of Runewars, first the Reanimates infantery. Used some base coating, quickshade Strong Tone, for the shading, and added some details and highlights.

Solid work! (Secret hint: include " medium", including the space, after your imageid, to make the photo a bit bigger)

These were kind of a pain to paint, since there were so many, but they look so good once they're all done!

And this is why I'm glad they weren't designed with over-the-top detail.

Oddly, the sharp edges and clearly delineated details on GWs new minis make them very quick to paint.

It seems counter-intuitive, but they paint fast.

Softer detail tends to require either black-lining or inks/washes.

Sharp detail encourages base-layer-highlight triads with spare use of inks for effects.

Nice!!!

Now base 'em!

Army Painter also has a Basing Kit, if you don't already have your requisite glue, grass, rocks, etc.

The plan is to use Brown Battlefield, and then drybrush it. As soon as I have based him I will post a photo of them.
