I'm working on a variant set, and was hoping maybe someone had some card templates and/or icon graphics that I could use. I could go really barebones, but I think it's much nicer, even in playtesting, to have nice looking cards.

Also, anyone know what font is used?

If not, I'll start scanning and GIMPing.... cry

Thanks!

Hello Jon,

Unfortunately I don't have any templates or icons.
The font used on the cards looks to me like it is Dominican (it is the same one used in Agricola).

I am very interested in the progress of your variant.

I'd guess the typeface is Caslon Antique.

Thanks to both of you. I tried both, but neither looked quite right after messing around a bit with both. The numbers were especially weird, and there's a lot of mixed alpha and numbers on these cards, and that's not trivial in nandeck (at least, for my first project).

At any rate, I'm 98% done, just some polishing around the edges. Should have something up very soon.

Turned out my initial install of Dominican was weird, so I reinstalled and it looks better now. Still a bad font for numbers, though, so I bit the bullet and hardcoded a bunch of font face tags in my nandeck html. Ugh.

Anyway, results are looking pretty good. Not quite matching original cards but close. Here are two examples, one from the "Flanders" side, and one from the "Normandy" side, to show text (in Dominican) and numbers (in Times for now), and the general approach I'm using.

Very nice!

I'm curious to what the other cards will look like and play like!

Thanks. It's been done* for a while, but I'm waiting on permission from Mayfair (Lookout gave me the green light).

*Well, to my satisfaction, but I'm sure there are many flaws.

I just received permission and uploaded the file. I opened this thread for discussion: Variant card set: Flanders and Normandy.
