I've been thinking. Every so often I play a game I really like but then it may never show it's face at the club again.

There are also games I want to play that people may have but I just don't know about it.

Each week we choose from what's brought along on the offchance or based on arrangements made here. So we have a "you can have what's in the shop window but we're not telling you what we've got in the stock room" scenario.

This is of course fine and fun is had each week. But I'm going to start this one off by listing a few games I want to try again or have never tried. Maybe someone will then say "ooh I've got that and am happy to give that a go" or if they were super kind they could bring it along and let others try it if they weren't in the mood?

Perhaps you guys could also list some itches you want to scratch to see if we can find some happy matches

Happy to bring along GWT again next week - only played once...

Doubling up here as I only have GWT from the list. Played it a lot and one of my all time faves so always happy to teach and play it. Also be keen to play Automobiles from this list

Personally I'd love to play Shakespeare if someone has it and would like to teach and play it

From that list I only have Quantum (with the non-sticky replacement dice) - happy to bring it, but don't think I'll be there next week.

I'd play autowombles!

It's a pity that's not what you wrote... It's been a peculiar day.

This would be easier if you were all a bunch of catalogging nerds who had gone around marking the games you want to play as 'Want To Play'

Seriously though, it actually could be useful, as then we could use something like this to figure out the cross over?

Though that example is a bit rubbish as it's meant for comparing scores rather than want-to-play vs own. I'll have a look this weekend for something else that might do it (unless someone already knows of one?), or look into cooking up my own for this purpose.

edit: Ooo BGG already has a similar feature already built in. You can view the entire [guild's collection](https://boardgamegeek.com/guild/collection/902/page/3?subtyp...), but it's a massive pain to read. But from it I can see e.g. 15 people own Bohnanza and 2 people want to play it.

Nice work!

Had a look at the xmlapi2, but it can't handle the kind of multi-table query we'd want (find all games in collections of all users in guild 902 where own>=1 & wanttoplay>=1). Can only get games per username, and even then it says you can have it but wait a while and request again to get the actual data.

Anybody know Python?

I'd best be getting my 'want to play' list up to date then!

This is a great idea. I'd be interested in playing Roll for the Galaxy, Bruges or Shakespeare.

I'm really hoping that's a quote too. Or things just took a turn for the worse

I saw Celestia in someone's bag last week. Keen to play that if the owner would like to bring it again?

That was mine! Always happy to play a bit of Celestia, it's a nice filler.

I've a bunch of my own games I'd like to play, does that count?!

My one for this list would be Twilight Struggle for For the Crown. As these are 2 player games I know it will be hard to fit them in.

Right, FINE. My list of unplayed-games-I-really-want-to-play, is mainly comprised of shorter games:
Witness
Favor of the Pharaoh
Flick 'em Up!
Between Two Cities
Waggle Dance
Hexemonia
One Night Ultimate Vampire
Subdivision
ZhanGuo

Mine is mainly (but not all) mid-weight euros and co-ops I own but haven't got round to playing (much):

Archipelago
The Big Book of Madness
Kraftwagen
Brass: Lancashire
Age of Industry
Ships
Fresco
Rococo
My Village
Wings for the Baron (second edition)
plus
Barony
Warrior Knights
Merchants & Marauders

If you fancy playing any of those, let me know and I'll try to grok the rules.
