FARSIGHT, the brand new sci-fi wargame from Braincrack Games, is now on Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/315276384/farsight-corp...?

In FARSIGHT, player-controlled factions of powerful military corporations fight for dominance of the battlefield.

Units move around the board hidden, meaning your opponents won't know what's hit them until it does.

But, this is where FARSIGHT's unique elements come in to play: as units fight for the field, a hidden battle between powerful specialists rages on each player's 'Shadow Map,' a mirrored version of the main board where players deploy Assassins, Spies, Saboteurs, Seers and Supply Lines.

Specialists allow you to reveal enemy units, sabotage them, get the edge on random events, deploy extra units, and - most excitingly - hunt enemy specialists in a cat-and-mouse 'Hunting' sub-game.

The game includes diceless rule modules, customisable armies, easy-to-learn rules, and optional miniatures packs to add to the core game!

Once it's delivered, there will also be a online 'Global Conflict' campaign that gives players new missions, rules modules and army builds, whilst using the results of players games to build the lore in their image.

Not convinced? See what the reviewers say:

"A tactical war game that's lighter and easier to learn, without sacrificing strategic depth." - Toucan Play That Game

"Farsight brings something new to the genre, whilst still being slick to play and offering plenty of depth. I suggest you go check it out." - Polyhedron Collider

"It's what happens off-board that makes Farsight shine - the blend of deduction and strategy is extremely elegant, and left me eager for more." - The Game Shelf

"Stunning miniatures and artwork with simple mechanics means getting this to the table will be easy and rewarding." - Board Meetings

"A philoshophy of elegance over complexity shines through the whole game, presenting simple systems that interact to form tactical depth." - The Giant Brain

This game reminds of and is sort of similar to Battle Tech.

The flavour is similar, but the hidden movement, shadow map and scale (armies rather than squads) set it apart!

This looks fantastic and I'm especially intrigued by the shadow board use of spies and saboteurs.

Best of luck with the Kickstarter-- I was happy to back this!
