I kicked things off with a line from an antique Australian TV commercial for porridge, similarities with other starting sentences involving porridge and Australian TV commercials are purely coincidental.

That's not how you make porridge!

Shumyum bears up nicely with this:

Tickmanfan fires back with tasty item:
I don't care if you shoot down my recipes because I won the fight and YOU will be dinner for baby and I tonight!

Aneirin brings it back downunder with this beauty, fair dinkum!

Edweird3 makes a disturbing threat:
Take ye aim, but be warned...a wrong answer and I will beat you and eat you.

MABBY shoots a bullseye with this one:

Snapdragon23 puts us back on the telly:
Fred regretted entering this game show - he had always failed at darts, and those prizes were looking rather, well, sharp.

EgorjLileli has a point or three to make at Fred's expense:

Dutch Boy takes us back to where we started, the wonder years of 80's TV:
During the final round of Celebrity Jeopardy!, Fred Savage wondered where the other contestants had disappeared to; why three miniature fighter jets would soon be attacking him; and where the nearest exit was.

WallyNate's potent portrayal keeps Fred in Jeopardy:

Sunkencheerio brings us home with Fred still in Jeopardy:
Fred's joy at winning Jeopardy quickly faded away as the jet fighters zoomed closer and he realized that Sean and Turd Ferguson had lured him into another trap.

This is the classic TV commercial that inspired the opening sentence. A sentence written well before other porridge related threads and Aussie TV commercials came to my attention.

Which cannae be shown in good conscience without also showing this classic Aussie TV spoof of the same:

Apologies to all my Scottish friends.

If anyone is curious about the tan suit with blue tie on blue shirt in my picture, I googled to see if Fred Savage was ever on jeopardy, and found this:

And if anyone's not familiar with SNL's classic Celebrity Jeopardy sketches, my drawing drew heavily from this one. (Apologies if those outside the US aren't able the follow the link, it's the only one I could find )

Love the "scores" of Turd Ferguson and Sean!!!!!

Uh, oh. I knew that my "darts" left a lot to be desired. I LOVE that they became fighter jets!

I love that it's Baby Bear making his porridge "just right" and Mama Bear trying to stop him cold.

2 oz oats, 1½ cups milk, 1 tbsp whisky, salt.

Milk + oats in cold saucepan. Place over heat, stir frequently until the milk boils, add salt to taste, stir like a madman for five minutes. Serve in a warm bowl with whisky.
This is my dad's recipe. Those who like porridge say it is a good recipe. Notwithstanding the fact that I still miss my dad, I do not miss eating porridge. YMMV.

Oatmeal is a Porridge made from oats. Porridge can be made with any grain or even some legumes (e.g. "Peas Porridge Hot, Peas Porridge Cold ...)

edit: all of them are improved with whiskey. cool

For authenticity, porridge should be stirred with a spurtle.

Real oatmeal should be thick enough to stand on, stop a bullet, and cannot be dented by a 5-iron.
