Crag Crag Crag, he has put up with me for the Gloomiest Episode ever of his own show.
Craig joined us to talk RPGs and I am absolutely delighted to have him on the show doing that, the only problem is, I don't have a local RPG group to play with so each time he talks about a game or system, I sit there and think that I should pick it up and try it, but then I realize all I would be doing is reading the books and learning the systems and never playing them. But that's okay, I do love to listen to him tell us all about them.
Craig joined us back on Episode 94!
So, let's all say hi to Craig and go ahead and ask him anything!
Have I ever asked what your favorite dish to prepare is?
Favorite dish to prepare is chicken francaise. It's such a classic recipe and it's amazing how many get it wrong. It's what I order at restaurants as a benchmark for their abilities. I guess I should also mention that I'm a classically trained French chef... that would give this question context
If you could only play three RPGs, which three would you pick?
Are we talking systems or games?
If systems, then
1) d10 world of darkness as so many of my favorite settins take place in this system: exalted, scion, werewolf, etc. 2) Apocalypse world engine as I'm completely falling in love with the simplicity of play and the free form storytelling that occurs. 3) ffg Star Wars system, like edge of the empire. Crunchy but plenty of story telling opportunities and of course I'm in love with the setting material.
If we're talking specific games:
1) fiasco-it's never wrong, it's always a blast. 2) exalted-it's my first love and has never let me down 3) Edge of the empire-its everything I've always wanted from a Star Wars game
