What are the colors of pants that you own, and wear in regular rotation? Don't count the ones you haven't worn since 1971. Or the ones you steal from your sister. Or the ones that are more holes than pants, that you use to paint the garage with.

Poll: Colorful pants
What color pants do you own and wear in regular rotation?
black
blue
brown
white
khaki
green
camouflage
red
orange
yellow
purple
plaid
paisley
pink
gray
houndstooth
checkered
tie-dyed
cartoon character
floral
other (explain in comments)

If I was British I would have many more colours to tick but I'm not so it's just blue black and grey.

laugh. It did take me a while to realise we weren't talking about underwear here - it was the camouflage option that made the penny drop...

Funnily enough, I could tick the camouflage option if we were talking underwear....

I would be quite happy to have shorts in, for example, red or yellow or purple, but they don't exist. Hell, the design of shorts I prefer barely exists this year...

Yes, I am American and do speak American-ese. I am talking about trousers, slacks, dungarees, or whatever two-legged outerwear is called elsewhere in the Anglosphere.

The green pants option gave me a childhood flashback. Does anyone else remember the spooky green pants?

Do pajama pants count? Because if so, I need to change my answers.

My favorite Seuss story from when I was young (and probably still today).

Oh, save me from those pale green pants, with nobody inside 'em!

I want to know who didn't click blue. You don't have or wear blue jeans? Is this a foreign/cultural thing? I don't know anyone that doesn't wear jeans. I mean my 90 year old grandma has jeans. My 5 year old son wears jeans.

While I do have two pairs of blue jeans, I know they make non-blue jeans as well (and there are times when I don't have any blue-colored jeans in my wardrobe if the blue ones wear out and I go with another color, usually khaki or grey).

Maybe it's somebody who doesn't wear pants.

While I would call bleached, washed, whatevered jeans blue, the original dark color is indigo, which if I were feeling pedantic, and didn't have other blue pants, I might apply to all bluejeans.

Feeling more pedantic today, I added other for indigo.

b) Rather than trousers I normally wear a thobe
(OK, I have some joggers and a couple of kilts, but ...)

I have blue shorts (and by shorts, I mean shorts).

I do not, never have had, nor will I ever have blue jeans. Yes, it is a cultural thing - some of us find them vile.

I do have some nice black jeans.

And yes, I do know lots of people who don't wear jeans at all, for a variety of reasons.

We can wear jeans to work and one day I asked someone, if jeans are an option why do so many people not wear jeans here? His response was he didn't like jeans and that they were uncomfortable.

That answer blows my mind away but maybe it is true.

In reality I think the guy, and his fellow non-jean wearing cohorts, are just afraid to not wear dress pants and thinks management somehow cares.

Believe it or not I'm kind of a non-jeans-wearer myself. For years I wore only skirts because I preferred them, and owned one pair of jeans total which I hated because they were uncomfortable.

I still own one pair of jeans but now I do wear them more because I discovered a brand that actually works for me - a bit pricier (~$80/pr) but it's worth it for me.

[The brand is Liverpool if anyone is interested, sold on Zappos among other places, also occasionally at TJMaxx/Ross etc.]
