If i have a pair of cards among my 3 cards, would it beat the sum of the opponenet's 3 cards if we both have equal 3 cards?

so for example I have 3+3+5, whereas my opponent played 5+4+2. Both of us total 11. Is the winner the player who completed his set of 3 first, or the player with the pair of cards (like you would expect in a poker hand)?

Pairs don't matter. The winner is the one who completed the set first. If you have the IELLO version, see page 8 of the rules.
