So, we tried the 7x7 grid game with all dominos in play
I like using all the dominos for the two player game.

The results
Wheat tiles: Me 39. Her 24
Meadow tiles: Me 35 Her 5
Swamp tiles: Me 30. Her 3

Halfway through the tiles it looks like I am in a good lead.
But wait there's more to score.

Sea tiles: Me 14. Her 21. Ok I still lead
Tree tiles: Me 5. Her 44. Ugh!
Mine tiles: Me 2. Her 32. Double Ugh!

Total: Me 125. Her 129

I think maybe women win because they are better at planning.

Even though I lost, she gave me the chance to pick next.

I chose Karuba and lost by 4 points again.
Another "Planning" type game.

I guess I did not choose wisely.

I liked the 7x7 with 2-players as well, though it takes quite a long time. I like the planning involved, but I'm a woman after all, and I did indeed win the game I played with my boyfriend with 188 vs 161

LOL!. Congrats on winning.

We try to play different games each weekend.

We really like Jaipur and Splendor.
I just added Dead Man's Draw. That is a quick card game.
One of those push your luck type games.

I wish I could get her to like Hive. Maybe it is the bugs that bother her.

Have you tried Cottage Garden or Patchwork? Based on the games you name, it sounds like something you'd like!

We have Patchwork, but for some reason she does not like it.
But she is going to have to play it sooner or later.
We have been playing each one of our games in our collection.

Cottage Garden I never heard of.

Thanks for the suggestions.
