Jackasses? You let a whole column get stalled and strafed on account of a couple of jackasses? What the hell's the matter with you?

The New York Times published an article today regarding research on whether women find men with beards more desirable than clean-shaven men. I, for some reason, felt compelled to share this fascinating research in this forum. It felt Chit-Chatty.

Here's the thing: Dudes that looked like this...

... got laid in the 70's.

It's not about the beard, or the clothes, or the hair, it's how you work it.

As a woman my opinion is this: on younger men (35 or younger) I don't really like beards. Clean shaven is my preference. But on older men, my taste shifts and I find older men with beards more attractive than older men without them. Not really sure why this is mind.

So they're saying that if I shaved my beard, I'd be even less desirable to women?

Yikes!

After about one month of growth my wife makes me trim it back short. She doesn't like it at that length. The rug burn is -

Nevermind.

With Trigirl being this lock consensus good read for so many people, I find it really bizarre that she's alive. Just don't lock clear her for tone. There's a threshold where if she's still alive she should probably just be murdalated.

The National Hockey League has a long-standing tradition of players who stop shaving once the playoffs begin.
The further your team goes, the scragglier you get.

If you think that this is "more desireable" than-- say an opposum's anus-- then I may question your judgement:

What? He makes 8 million dollars a year?!
HE'S SOOOO DREAMY!!!

UGH! NO! I absolutely refuse to date a man with any facial hair. Clean-shaven ONLY. No interest whatsoever in kissing a bug-infested crumb-filled smelly scratchy coarse carpet.

After a certain length, it is not prickly nor coarse at all. Just a matter of far out it grows. And never has a bug been in residence of my lustrous beard.

But you smooch who you like. I got my needs covered already.

As a female I will chime in here with my 100% personal opinion.

It depends....I prefer men with short hair and clean shaven. However, I like my husband clean-shaven and with facial hair. He looks like a cute Santa Claus with his almost-white beard.

Other men? It depends on their face, but honestly, I look for physical fitness and health in general instead of 100% on looks. Personality counts tons for me as well. You could be hot, but if you open your mouth and have nothing intelligent to say, it's a turnoff.

Re beards being scratchy to kiss- actually it's the short stubble that really shreds your lips off. Clean = OK, beard = OK, in between = raw bleeding face.

I remember the first time I grew a beard and after like two weeks my friend said he hated me since he can't grow one for the life of him. I would say about a month in and I can see starting to keep it trimmed and such. I rejoiced at shaving off my beard after no shave November.
