The Pathfinder.

He rewards you for choosing your path and sticking with it (This card gains +1 Combat and +1 Labor for every 4 Cruel or Mercy you have.)

Ooh, The Pathfinder is good! Same power, but I also suggest Oathholder or Oath-Affirmer.

My main thought is that I don't want him to be able to be promoted the legendary Numerai, as it gives someone one of them straight out of the gate, whereas everyone else has to search.

Since Numerai are powerful yet they don't always remember how powerful or aren't always able to tap into their full power: the Forgotten Prodigal.

I agree with this one. Again, I don't know all the advisor's strength levels but it seems like the third option would be too strong for a starting card. Advisors SEEM like they help you choose a path, but aren't so strong that you'll never cull them. This second ability is flexible and important, but also not overpowered.

Good names might be:
Pathfinder
Truth Finder
Truth Seeker
The Seeker

I would say something about having a piece of the lost wisdom of the Numerai, especially for the ability that grows as you get committed to a morality:

Lorekeeper
The Lost Voice
Seeker of the Way
Ancient Voice
The Found
Voice of the Strong
Seer
Seer of Lost Things

Hey there Travis, just backed and excited to start taking part in the campaign!

My vote for this card is option 1, can be promoted into a Legendary Numerai for 6 strength/labor.

I'd name it: The Unproven
