THATS ITS, I cant take it any longer. I have loved this game for so long and I shall no longer weather its production values. IT DESERVES FAR GREATER!

Its time to pimp, and I know I'll need your help. I'd like all the ideas and links.

Starting of with the obvious bits, drawstring bags (Look good and extremely functional for setup). There have been past thread son these alone, but from 2013 and no longer seem to be produced.

I have found this atleast, I might prefer larger bags for the shufflejiggle but have to get the colours spot on.

Silverlings and Workers. The next obvious bit is ofc the Stonemaier Ores, fit too well. I think I fancy unpainted Meeples for the workforce.

Now for the major bit, the TILES. Still hunting for ideas here, but 1" wooden bases seem to be a good starting point. So I can get chunky tiles, and figure some hex stickers. They can also potentially be magnetized. Though Ideally I wood want the corners smoothed with everything varnished up/sealed after.something comparable to the Smallworld Deluxe tokens /drool

Anyone have any thoughts or inspirations Custom stickers, design, hexs. Ow new goods designs with DIFFERENT goods (Its the small things that make this hobby so absorbing)

£22 for the bags seems very high, but silverlings from boardgameextras seem to hit the mark. and the Hex tiles are perfect on top, but what about the backside?

I got my bags from Artscow, designed them mostly myself, while they were doing one of their usual "ten things for $10" deals. The colors may not have been spot on, but they all got icons and text to describe what was supposed to be in them anyway. Also, the mines/castles/ships can all go in the same bag, absolutely no need for individual bags, as they are all the same. Getting individual ones would actually increase setup time.

backside, good question. Hmm, dont technically need backs with bags I guess. Or each tile set could be sprayed/painted before applying stickers if I figure them out.

Okay! some other stuff is in the post. But I did stumble upon a handy way to upgrade my tiles. I had sheets of 1mm self adhesive cork. Its not to much work to just stick all the tiles down and trim. The non slip nature of the cork on the player boards is rather nice. With bags on the way I'm not worried about the backs. The tiles are ten times easier to handle, with a slightly weighted and even warmer tactile feel.

I like the cork idea. I got some of the wooden squares from litko for a different project and there's a slight bend to them which makes them not great for stacking. If you draw from a bag its probably not a problem. But the cork seems like a nice approach.

What I did with the wood was spray-mount some lenin printed paper, which perhaps you could also do if you wanted to print off back-side patterns.

Report back how you like the bags when they show up.

does the cork bulk out your storage, ie can you still fit all in storage box?

I found this set for pimping CoB - at a price of 5.99€.
Spielmaterial.de

I already have the Artscow stringbags, so this was all I needed to add to my CoB
