Deploying Merlin/Morgan Le Fay: 2d6 1d6 + 1d6 = (6) + (4) = 10 (d6 1d6 = (6) = 6) = Listenoise.

Sir Morholt III can make one last request before being on his way to the Isle of Avalon, or start the trip right away.

Sir Philippe and Sir Balldanor face the huge dragon besieging Castle Lot with their six Men-at-Arms, King Lot and his escorts. Sir Philippe could run the fight or I could ---let me know. Next turn, Sir Balldanor will be on his way all by himself to find Sir Dynante the Mad Knight.

Sir Kenneth of the Greenwood will probably be going back to Beale-Valet with his liege in order to ask him for another adventure to prove himself with (and earn his castle).

Sir Ector of Ireland will be taking ship and heading for London. Sea movement is a little different: Sir Ector moves once into an adjoining sea area (the Sea of Mortaise in this case), coast, or Port, and then automatically encounters the Sea if in one. The shortest path in this case would be Sea of Mortaise → The Channel → Test River → Camelot City → overland to London.

Sir Brutus must continue on his way to the Isle of Wight. Unless interrupted, he should reach the Test this turn (by way of Warwick and Hampshire).

* Sir Morholt III - Requested men-at-arms unsuccessfully.

* Sir Philippe - Defeated a huge dragon (with a lot of help!) and was awarded his own Castle.

* Sir Kenneth of the Greenwood - Requested a new castle adventure unsuccessfully.

* Sir Ector of Ireland - Ran into a Sea Bear in the Sea of Mortaise. Learned humility as a consequence.

* Sir Balldanor - Helped defeat a huge dragon (along with a lot of other help!).

* Sir Brutus - Was halted in his progress by Peasants.

And this concludes turn 4.

Turn 5 is this way.

Luck of the Day - 1d6 = (5) = 5

Uh-oh.

I shall meekly ask for some Men-at-Arms.

Request roll - 1d6 = (3) = 3

I guess it's just me and my trusty lance and steed.

In this adventure, Sir Philippe is the leader, so you charge in second, once he's defeated. I'll keep your roll when the time comes.

All right, in the visitor's corner we have a huge dragon (WL 25), and in the other corner we have Sir Philippe (CP 30), then Sir Balldanor (CP 30), then their Men-at-Arms in alternating fashion (Sir Persante of Inde (CP 210), Sir Andret (CP 70), Sir Galahad (CP 250), Sir Tristram (CP 290), Sir Damas (CP 60), Sir Safer (CP 190)), then the King's escort (Sir Outelake (CP 50), Sir Bellengerus (CP 200)), and finally King Lot himself (CP 160).

Sir Philippe vs the Dragon
Round One:
* Sir Philippe (lance) 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 = (6) + (1) + (6) = 13
* Dragon 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 = (4) + (2) + (5) = 11
A good start!
Round Two:
* Sir Philippe (lance) 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 = (4) + (5) + (3) = 12
* Dragon (WL 23) 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 = (2) + (6) + (2) = 10
Nice!
Round Three:
* Sir Philippe (lance) 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 = (4) + (2) + (2) = 8
* Dragon (WL 21) 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 = (2) + (2) + (3) = 7
Lucky!
Round Four:
* Sir Philippe (lance) 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 = (1) + (6) + (3) = 10
* Dragon (WL 20) 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 = (5) + (4) + (5) = 14
And Sir Philippe is down. Nobody thought he would have lasted this long.

Sir Balldanor vs the Dragon
Round Five:
* Sir Balldanor Balldanor previously rolled 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 = (3) + (3) + (2) = 8 (Attack roll)

And Sir Balldanor is down. Not as lucky, clearly.

Sir Persante of Inde vs the Dragon
Round Six:
* Sir Persante of Inde (WL 21) (lance) 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 = (2) + (6) + (4) = 12
* Dragon (WL 20) 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 = (2) + (4) + (4) = 10
Round Seven:
* Sir Persante of Inde (WL 21) (lance) 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 = (3) + (2) + (3) = 8
* Dragon (WL 18) 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 = (5) + (1) + (2) = 8

Sir Damas vs the Dragon
Round Thirty-Eight:
* Sir Damas (WL 6) (lance) 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 = (5) + (2) + (6) = 13
* Dragon (WL 8) 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 = (5) + (4) + (1) = 10
Nice hit!
Round Thirty-Nine:
* Sir Damas (WL 6) (lance) 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 = (2) + (3) + (6) = 11
* Dragon (WL 5) 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 = (1) + (2) + (6) = 9
Oh no!
Round Forty:
* Sir Damas (WL 6) (horse and sword) 1d6 + 1d6 + 1 = (4) + (2) + 1 = 7
* Dragon (WL 3) 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 = (3) + (5) + (6) = 14
And Sir Damas is down!

Sir Safer vs the Dragon
Round Forty-One:
* Sir Safer (WL 19) (lance) 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 = (6) + (3) + (2) = 11
* Dragon (WL 3) 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 = (5) + (6) + (6) = 17
A very bad start!
Round Forty-Two:
* Sir Safer (WL 13) (horse and sword) 1d6 + 1d6 + 1 = (3) + (3) + 1 = 7
* Dragon (WL 3) 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 = (4) + (2) + (1) = 7
Combat Event! (2d6) 1d6 + 1d6 = (6) + (6) = 12 = Reinforcements arrive! It's Sir Breunis Sans Pitié (CP 280).

Round Forty-Three:
* Sir Safer (WL 13) (horse and sword) 1d6 + 1d6 + 1 = (4) + (5) + 1 = 10
* Dragon (WL 3) 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 = (2) + (3) + (2) = 7
Heartened by the unexpected arrival, Sir Safer finishes off the Dragon!

The adventure is a success. 30 VP and 25 CP are shared: Sir Philippe and Balldanor each receive 15 VP and 12 CP, and Sir Philippe receives the remainder CP. King Lot hands Sir Philippe the deed for his Castle (4, 1d6 = (1) = 1, 1d6 = (3) = 3 = in Lothian) and asks him what other request he would like to have granted. The Men-at-Arms disperse, relieved that Castle Lot is no longer under threat.

Hmmmm, apparently nothing at the moment.

You've also moved back into Beale-Valet alongside Sir Darras.

Your ship's crew is WL customw{1:18;2:20;3:22;3:24;2:26;1:28} = (22) = 22.

Sir Ector of Ireland vs the Sea Bear
Round One:
* Sir Ector of Ireland (WL 3) (sword) 1d6 + 1d6 = (5) + (3) = 8
* Sea Bear (WL 6) 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 = (1) + (5) + (6) = 12
And Sir Ector goes down.

Non-Player Knight Party Combat now ensues.
* Ship's Crew (WL 22) + 1d6 + 1d6 = (6) + (5) = 11 = total 33
* Sea Bear (WL 6) + 1d6 + 1d6 = (1) + (6) = 7 = total 13

The crew easily defeats the creature.

Yes, but who's going to believe him when he gets to shore?

"You see, there was this sea bear..."

Balldanor breathes a heavy sigh of relief as the dragon is finished off, and inspects his wounds.

(Do I need to get healed before heading out next turn, or do I just get to head out at full health?)

My dwarf, Gurk (Pictish name, I think), known to his friends as "Toad," comes over to me for orders:

"Toad, to my castle!"

Trotting heavily down the road, me slung over his shoulder, my wounds dripping from time to time, we find an ancient broch, hastily patched up, with three floors, the lowest home to several bewildered sheep, the uppermost open to the sky and several inches deep in bird droppings, and the central rather cobwebby and dusty, but livable.

As Gurk starts up a roaring fire, I lie back wondering what tomorrow might bring....

All Knights are fully healed (except for poisoned wounds) at the end of their turn. Tournament wounds are healed after each joust.

The only way you can be down in wound levels at the beginning of your turn is if you were challenged by another player knight during the latter's turn (and took some wounds in the process).
