This is a Rio Grande release, that's actually available at retail, and there are no pictures, no review, nothing. Is this the wrong entry? What's happening here?

I just discovered this game the other day and had the same question. Subscribing to this, hopefully we'll find out more soon.

Talk about a silent release!

I see it's also available on Amazon.

I have 2k GG just laying around and nothing to do with them =) Plus, I actually wanted some kind of sneak peak before buying blind. Is it really crazy to expect the publisher to post a few picture of the board/components? Even the official website has nothing: http://riograndegames.com/Game/1296-Oktoberfest.

It's super weird imho.

Well I'm definitely not ordering based just on a generic blurb describing the game. Their marketing dept really dropped the ball on this one.

RGG were at BGG.Spring a couple of weeks ago and no one in the booth knew anything about this game. It's strange.

I'm running demos of Oktoberfest at this year's WBC. Good game, in my estimation, and that opinion is not affected by my position as the 'demo master' of it for Rio Grande games. That said, I've only played it, start to finish, once. Showed a bunch of people how to play it and let them have at it. Reactions so far have been positive. I like it. Not necessarily wild about it, but my personal 'wild' list is sparse. Rules are adequate to the task, although I had to go over one set of rules, governing the process of 'closing a tent' a few times to fully grasp it. I'm trying to figure out how to get a photo of the set-up board onto the site, but haven't quite figured it out. Stay tuned.
