What kinds of player interaction is there in this game?

Is it only blockage or can you directly effect eachother?

Saying 'only' blockage is a rather large misnomer. The core of the game is a combination of taking spots first (meaning another player must either pay to use that spot now, or can't at all depending on location and dice available). Also it's in getting somewhere first.

-Taking the best contracts in a round so there are fewer choices for the other players.
-Taking the last black dice
-Arriving first at a location so getting the bonus for that location.

Player interaction? Oh yes!

It's a worker placement game, so blockage is the instrument of interference.

To expand, you can: Block, increase action costs, seize one-off bonuses, remove opportunities and mess with the turn order.

Once you understand the dynamics there is ample opportunity for screwage, added to which there are the personalities, who have their own strengths to add to the mix. Your strategy will have to take account of opponents' abilities, not simply your own.

It's very much less "don't attack me, attack them (you b*st*rd)" and more "hey, I wanted to do that (you b*st*rd)!". There's no trading, targeting of individual players, or events, though, and only a minor race element.

@OP - if you're asking that question then it must seem to you that it has low interaction so maybe you should pass on this game. Strategy games like these always have some interaction but that's not the main part say like in SmallWorld.

It seems like you might be better served with something like Alien Frontiers.

Such an awesome game; it pains me to see someone passing on it for a reason such as this.
