Paroxysm consists of two separate attacks. First you do the Claws with their own modifier(Strength of model+0) and RoA depending on the model type.
Then you do the Tail attack with RoA 1 (Strength equal to Strength of model+1).

On page 31: "The Model attacks the Engaged Models using the full RoA of both Claws and Tail Strike weapons." Paroxysm (A) counts as a Combat Action ". I do not know very much English, but for my here is not about two attacks.

Here is an example how it works.

Lets say you have a infant warrior in the same tile as an enemy model.

It is your turn, so you choose to use Paroxysm. This costs both actions

This lets you do your Claw attacks (RoA 2) and your tail attack (RoA1)

The STR is the STR of the model and attacks.

I think Infant warrior STR is 10. and the Tail is STR +1 so 11.

You pick your targets for all 3 attacks and roll 3 dice. 2 for the claws and one for the tail

Hope it helps

I am assuming you are talking about an infant, which has RoA 2. Then, on Paroxysm:
Two dice for st [model] and one die for St [model+1].
So, you roll 2 dice for 10 and one for 11. It helps using different color dice.

I bought a pink one for the tail strike, and it always hits.

Cheers,
K.
