All kinds of shenanigans with the Reinforce token, and a very red-free dial.

Expertise+Reinforce is pretty solid, leaving two crew slots (C-3PO?). OTOH, Lightning Reflexes would solve the turning-around problem. Daredevil might be too much.

Captain Rex+Gunner would also solve the lack of focus problem, maybe with Predator.

Breach Specialists seem like a great idea for no-agility large ships.

Well, it has a 180-degree firing arc, so turning around won't be quite as important.

And Breach Specialists requires a Reinforce token, so it's pretty much just for this ship and the Epics right now. Although I wouldn't be surprised to see upcoming upgrades that give ships either the token or the action.

I'd be hesitant to add reinforce by a general upgrade card unless it had some carefully planned restrictions.

Adding a free evade to any attack coming in from your arc is nasty enough(even assuming you can't pick the 'out of arc' option, which on any 'normal' ship is 3/4 of your base). However, add it to some of the ships out there and it's just plain overpowered, even if it takes an action to trigger.

For example, consider the following ships with an "in arc" reinforce token:

~ Fenn Rau
~ Rey (with Finn crew)
~ Countess Ryad (with Push The Limit)

not to mention, the X-winged elephant in the room when it comes to making ships tougher:

~ Biggs Darklighter

That said, I do like the idea. arc-specific defence boosts are cool - it's the same reason I prefer Rey and Dengar to Han Solo and Rear Admiral Chiraneau - even if you've got a turret, you need to fly with a bit of nous to get the best out of the ship.

Selflessness is a nice card, too. A one-use ability to spread damage around is cool, especially if paired with R2-D2 or R5-P9.

I think that ships with regeneration need to put something other than Selflessness in their EPT slot to survive concentrated fire.

Letting a YV-666 take a reinforce action would be fun and reasonable. Maybe as an alternative title.

Indeed. My main concern is when you have reinforce stacked with other 'guaranteed evade results'. You don't need many to make a ship nigh untouchable; an azituck is going to be an absolute bugger to bring down with 2-dice attack ships as it stands*.

The Azituck itself has a good example of this: Wulffwarro with Push The Limit, Jan Ors and C-3PO is expensive, but when attacked one-on-one is completely immune to a 3-dice attack.

Scum doesn't have so many 'cheap extra evades' - although tactician/latts razzi would be a nasty combination to add action-free evades to a hound's defence roll.

Looking at the actual pilot abilities, we've already got a nasty synergy with Biggs - Lowhhrick can't be shot easily whilst on Biggs' wing, meaning he can use his reinforce token to provide Biggs with an evade result. On top of this, he can carry Jan Ors, giving Biggs cheap access to evade tokens. If you thought trying to kill Biggs was annoying before, try it when he has essentially two evade tokens in the tank (except he can spend both on one attack if he needs to)

To be honest, I think it's a nice ship. The fact that you can fit four with Wookie Commandoes aboard makes for a nice alternative to the Baby Blues squad (tougher, but less shooty, and less manoeuvrable but with a wider arc of fire).

Alternatively, two kitted out gunships (tactician, gunner, hull upgrade) and Wulf (selflessness, commandoes) could be rather nice. Gunner/tactician with a big auxiliary arc makes for a nice stresshog alternative.

Both the elites form a nice 'bolt in' to support a squad.

* In theory, of course, a TIE swarm gets them in a crossfire, just like fighting Rey, and the Reinforce token doesn't apply for half the shots. Theories are great.... ninja
