Im wondering if anyone who has played Inis thinks that these two games are kinda similar in terms of mechanics.

I've played Inis, and Inis is a rich mans Inis. It's incredible. It's also primarily a card drafting game, which Lords of Hellas does not appear to be.

Having reviewed the draft manual for this game, they seem very different. They both have maps and dudes and area control, but operate differently within those confines.

I'm backing this, but if I had to choose, I'd pick Inis. If this game ends up so good I change my mind, I will be delighted.

I sure as hell hope not. Inis was awful.

Not at all, Lords of Hellas reminds me much more of Mare Nostrum Empires. Even then, the card combat seems pretty unique, also the idea of hunting monsters.

Nothing like Inis at all. Seriously at all, hah.

Not even slightly. Hellas is closer to Kemet than anything (but it's pretty different even then).

There are certain (distant) similarities, such as multiple victory conditions, and lodging units inside of buildings. Otherwise, they seem fairly distinct from one another.
