Greetings Heroes!

Thanks to those of you who have already added events for RinCon 2017. It's already shaping up to be one of the best RinCon's ever! If you haven't yet submitted your events, you only have until July 29th (one week!) to do so and still receive your GM discount. So get those events it now!

Also on July 29th is the final RinCon Fundraiser Game Day! $5/+up suggested donation for an entire day of gaming including the special events below.

Come for a day of gaming with friends and family, participate in special pre-con events, and win fantastic prizes at our raffles, including a 2-night hotel stay for RinCon 2017! And, as if all that weren't enough, this will be the date RinCon pre-registration opens, so you can purchase your ticket at the discounted cost!

Special events, kicking off the superheroes theme for RinCon2017, see event descriptions below:
- Open board gaming from our lending library
- Kids' games with superhero themes, including Rhino Hero and Numbers League
- Minis demos and games, including HeroClix
- 11:00 AM-3:00 PM and 5:00-9:00 PM, drop-in/drop-out fine. RPG "Long Con" event: The system will be Masks: Powered by Apocalypse World.
- 12:00-4:00 PM, signups at the registration desk. RPG with RinCon special guest Todd Van Hooser (Laughing Moon Presents: Wheelhouse)
- 1:00 PM Legendary: A Marvel Deck-Building Game

Masks: Powered by Apocalypse World Long Con: 3 tables of up to 5 people each, with concurrent action taking place over two sessions. Set in Halcyon City, teenaged superheroes battle evil villains, and figure out who they are and want to be along the way. Creates stories like Teen Titan, Young Justice, and X-Men. Sign-up sheets at the registration desk.

Wheelhouse is a post-apocalyptic fantasy role-playing game set thousands of years after a cataclysmic event shattered the world of Mythren. A broken moon grins in the sky and the shadow of an ominous tower now looms over the last vestiges of civilization known as the Twelve Towns. Players awaken a character imbued with the consciousness of a long-dead hero. As a group, the characters are sent beyond the peaceful Twelve Towns and into the devastated "out-world" to serve a singular purpose given to them by the Wheelhouse. A gigantic and mysterious structure, the Wheelhouse is a lynch-pin tower that stands as the last link to the ancient world that was. This purpose drives the characters to act, but deep within is a greater need to discover who they were, who they are, and who they may yet be.

Legendary: A Marvel Deck Building Game is set in the Marvel Comics universe. Players choose a mastermind villain (Magneto, Loki, Dr. Doom, etc.), stack that particular villain's attack cards underneath it, then modify the villain deck as needed based on that villain's particular scheme. Players then choose a number of hero decks – Spider-Man, Hulk, Cyclops, Wolverine, etc. – and shuffle them together; since players use only a handful of hero decks out of the fifteen included, the hero deck can vary widely in terms of what's available.

Your Friendly Neighborhood RinCon Board Game Champion,

Sean

Calling all gamers... RinCon is coming!
September 29 - October 1, 2017
Sheraton Hotel and Suites
5151 E. Grant Rd., Tucson AZ

Preparations for this year's tabletop game convention are in full swing! Sign-ups are now live on our event page for those who have purchased their RinCon memberships. Click on the link below and check out the epic programming we've got in store for you!

https://rincon2017.sched.com

If you haven't yet bought your ticket, what are you waiting for? Go to our website and do it before the pre-registration price closes on September 1st! (Between 9/2 and 9/24, you can still purchase a membership, the price just goes up...) When you are making your purchase, be sure that each attendee's membership is associated with a unique email address - that's what allows you to sign up for games through our sched.com website.

GMs, it's not too late to get your games in the RinCon schedule! Use the link below to submit as many sessions as you'd like. Submissions for inclusion in the convention booklet close on September 1st, so don't wait too long! But never fear, even if your game doesn't get sent in by the deadline, you can always create an event sheet onsite at RinCon, and players can sign up when they arrive.

If any of you superheroes out there would like to volunteer, that's the best way to get free or reduced price entry to RinCon. On any day of the convention where you volunteer for 4 hours, you get in the rest of that day for free. And if you're available to help with materials preparation and logistics during the week before the convention, those hours can count towards a free badge as well. Click the link below for more information.

Last but not least, if you're going to be getting a room at the Sheraton during RinCon, please use the following link that the hotel has set up for us. That way, you can access the low RinCon block rate, and we get credit for all the reservations associated with our event.

We're looking forward to seeing you all at RinCon in just a few more weeks!

RinCon needs Heroes!

We can always use more volunteers to help run things behind the scenes. Volunteer for a 4 hour shift, and you get into the con for the rest of the day for free! Or you can also volunteer to help out during the week or two before the event, and accrue your hours before the convention even begins, so you can game uninterrupted for the entire weekend on us!

Volunteers also get access to the con suite with snacks, beverages, and hot and cold food on the day they volunteer (or any day if they volunteer beforehand).

Interested? Contact volunteer@rincongames.com and we will set you up!

Please note: volunteering is not the same as running games. Volunteer shifts involve helping with registration desk, table logistics and paperwork, support for special guests, and other behind the scenes work.
