I started building a taxonomy - to aid us in the first Israeli board game jam.
Any help is appreciated - please add your comments in the geek list.

I find that image format hard to read, since you need an inconveniently large screen. Can you post, maybe, an outline-style version?

Now that I look a little closer, it seems like it would be better as several separate divisions: each top-level division gives a different way of dividing up the world of all games, while the lower levels are alternatives.

As a taxonomist,I can recommend Coggle as an online mindmapping tool. Particularly if collaborative.

No reason for Victory Points to have a '?'

I would recommend working toward a more standard outline, perhaps structured somewhat like a rulebook, by that I mean ordering the subsections in the order they might be encountered in a rulebook.

I wonder if there could be a category for theme (whether the game is focused on a specific theme, which is represented as well in the mechanichs, or tends to be more abstract).

Also, if you are including boards and app, perhaps there should be a category covering cards and pieces (meeples, standees, miniatures, etc.).

Finally, I think it would be good to include player count, starting with the dichotomy between solitaire and multiplayer.

From a cursory review Theme seems to be missing.
