This is a simple little utility for those of you who like the added challenge of having a limited roster of investigators to choose from.

Eldritch Horror Investigator Companion

It's designed for each player picking their investigator out of a small random selection. If you prefer some other selection method, this won't work for you.

Unlike my Mythos companion, this is not intended to replace the physical investigator sheets. It just spares you the effort of shuffling those huge, clumsy cards (fairly annoying when there are over 40 of them). It also keeps track of which investigators you have previously picked so you can use it later in the game when someone is defeated/devoured.

That's neat. I might try this out. Hoping to attempt Syzygy again tonight.

When we choose investigators randomly, we don't shuffle the investigator's cards and draw from them. Instead we place the investigator tokens in a bowl and draw from there, much like how we draw monsters. This is far easier then messing around with those large cards!

That's what we do too, although we draw the investigator standees from a bag instead of a bowl.
