RULES

We've updated the cash/value feature from your suggestions. How cash offers work

Major differences from OLWLG trades

-Your traded entries are automatically subtracted if they trade.
-If you don't login at least once a week and accept your matrix, your account will go inactive and won't be considered in that run.
-The submission window is always open.
-You're automatically notified of deleted or edited entries you want.
-You can make direct cash offers on entries
(if you set a minimum value for your listed entries, you also automatically want ALL cash entries anyone may offer of that value or greater in exchange for your item)
-You can see all the current offers on your entries (You can also offer direct trade offers from this offer screen)
-Click all boxes in row/column is built in and doesnt need 3rd party software
-Duplicate protection is a single click.
-You can duplicate protect different unlike listings in two clicks.
-Your results are final when the timer runs out. Results are posted automatically on BGG, geekmail, and email.
-It works on all browsers and devices

Results are automatically posted on BGG at
abecorn results page, you'll also receive a geekmail and email if you have results.

Rules and Guidelines:

d10-1This trade will utilize www.abecorn.com

d10-2You are required to accurately describe the condition of your game. This entails inventorying all parts including inserts. Should you find your game is in lesser condition than you originally listed it. Edit the listing or delete it.

d10-3Unless stated, it will be assumed that your game is the most recent printing. If the primary language is something other than English, this needs to be clearly stated, even if the game is language independent. Please acknowledge questions to all of your listings.

Sample Description:

Condition: 1 corner dented(Photo Below)
Edition: Multilingual 2nd

d10-4 Add sweeteners by typing the name of the game into the condition description of the primary lsting.

d10-5Items that are not in the database but related to gaming or a similar culture are allowed. You amy create your own custom entry for this purpose.

d10-6 If you intend to trade for cash equivalents, you must pay BGG a 3% commission. See Guidelines

d10-7 Do not use a listing for items unless you are offering that listing. For example, do not list a game if you're only offering certain components for that game.

d10-8You are responsible for your listings and the results. Please message users with questions on their listings. Results are monitored, but assumed final when the timer runs out.

I'm having trouble adding Falling Sky - perhaps because it was originally going to be called Gallic War, the entry uses that name and old box art.

I updated the info from BGG, it shows up now when you search for
Falling Sky: The Gallic Revolt Against Caesar (with the correct cover art)

Thanks again for doing this, Ben. I like the new feature where it shows how many users want a particular game. One question though - does this only show other users and not yourself? There's one game I've selected as a potential trade but it still shows 0 users. And why do some games show () rather than 0?

Just curious really - doesn't actually change anything of course.

The system only updates that number a few time a day. The () just means it's new and the system hasn't checked yet.

Duplication protection: You say its a single click but how do I know its active? Clicking on that shield doesn't seem to toggle anything. Last year I ended up with two copies of Puerto Rico, trying to avoid something similar this year!

I had an issue with that as well. Bringing up the console, I saw it was getting a javascript error (the usual null reference stuff). I was able to get it working by closing the browser and going back into the site fresh.

When you click it, you should get a window showing the items to protect.

When you click the shield, it brings up the dialog of what you want to protect (it suggests same, but you can click the other tab to protect different named entries).

Could you send a screenshot of that error to info@abecorn.com with your browser info if it happens again?

I just double checked, did I have a listing somewhere that mistakenly showed it was Friday?

No Ben you listed it correctly everywhere.
Just kept thinking it was Friday from "muscle memory".
Only a reminder to others that is SATURDAY.

Good=more time to trade personally before.

If you want to log your trade for BGG reputation, than yes, otherwise it's optional for no-ship trades.

You might try Googling for a better description, but essentially a math trade handles

Person A gives game X to person B.
Person B gives game Y to person C.
Person C gives game Z to person A.
And all three people are happy / feel the trade was fair.

This was a 3-person trade example, but the "math trade" program does many more calculations so that "the most number of trades" occur.

Sorry to ask so many questions, but..

I am to receive cash from a couple of people.
1. Do I need to do anything in advance besides get my games ready to trade?

2. This link in my BGG mail confused me:
"Please visit the following link BGG Marketplace Product and create a BGG marketplace item for the amount you are to receive and send a link of that item to: (name of person to pay me)"
I tried to use it but saw no way to link to the person.
Maybe it's optional?

1. Know who you're giving and receiving from.

2. You can create and buy your own bgg market listing. Bgg has chosen to make it hard.
