Hi all,

Just to clear this up, his UA says that it returns set style cards to each player's hand. Does this just mean whichever style cards each player has contributed to his/her attack pair?

If this is the case, then the big value of Spellbreaker is that you can prevent your opponent from using Style/Base combos that would be especially effective on a given beat? And for another few beats too, since the bases still recycle, yes?

That's correct. Each player takes their face-down style back into their hand, and just plays the base.

The main advantage of Spellbreaker is that it can render the opponent's attack useless. For instance, if we are at range four, and your shot is on cooldown, Baenvier can play his own shot, ante a spellbreaker and know that he will almost certainly win the beat. (This being Battlecon, there are a million variables, but you get the idea).

It also pairs extremely well with his unique base, Spire, as Spire has extraordinarily good stats, but weird range, so if he can eliminate most of your style-based movement options, he can more reliably pin you down with it.
