Just received my copy of Kiwetin. These are my first impressions (two players):
1. The art is beautiful.
2. The game plays like a way more thrilling version of Chutes and Ladders.
3. I suggest not looking up what the tiles mean before you play. Let's just say that the first whirlwind tile was a trip.
4. We played with the tiles face down; the rules didn't specify. I can see the argument for the opposite, but it added a risk/reward element to deciding whether to use a Rune to land on a tile or not (or to force your opponent to do the same).
5. My wife was taken by the art and immediately wanted to play again when we were done.
I really enjoyed playing Kiwetin, but for number 5 I am intensely thankful.
I can't wait to try it with more players -- feels like the perfect palate cleanser between longer games.
Well, Thank you !!!
You just "get" Kiwetin and you perfectly understood what were aiming at.
You just made our day mate
