I remember to read (either here or on CSW), that Brian Train intended to republish/redesign "Konarmyia" somewhere this year with properly identified units (=no generic ones). Does anybody have more info on that?

Will there be a chance for a redesign of "Freikorps" also? I have the TB modified S&T magazine edition, but from what I discern so far both games are more or less different apples in the basket.

If I recall correctly Brian Train's "Freikorps" game could even be integrated with "Konarmiya".

So one could hope for a "combined edition"... whistle

Yes, later this year a very, very revised version of Konarmiya Year of the Red Tide will be released by Tiny Battles as Red Horde 1920.
New map, new counters, very revised rules with substantial changes to basic mechanics... it's actually more like a new game on the same war.
Hence the new title.

I would like to redo Freikorps to the same standards, and have written to Mark Walker (publisher) about it, but we haven't discussed it yet.
If he does agree to it, I will do my best to ensure there are mateable maps and rules to play the "linked game"... as was possible with the Fiery Dragon editions of the two games (though you needed to get the redrawn map to fit the changed hex size, uploaded to BGG).

Meanwhile, the Ty Bomba-ized version of the game, Reichswehr & Freikorps is a very different apple, for sure.

Splendid news Brian. Thanks for the info. I´m looking forward to this.

Just some ideas I had on that topic:

- a scenario that features the Freikorps fighting as reinforcements on the polish side
- including the baltic theater
- enlarging the map for including the allied intervention in Russia
- scenario, where polish and german forces invade Russia (assuming that the Civil War ended quickly in favor of the Bolsheviks, so basically no Civil War there)

...Aaaaand Mark likes the idea of a revised Freikorps.

It will take me a little while to get to this, but it will be a thing in the world, as the kids are saying now (or at least they were a while ago).

I will do my best to make it so.

When working on Red Horde, I specifically asked John Cooper (map artist) to move it up into the northwest corner without any intervening tables or charts, so the maps could mate.
I have not seen the map to Red Horde yet, though.

Vassal modules? Not that is matters, have to own the game first. Sigh - need to get paid to play games. Heck, I'm so entertaining in person, wonder how I'd be in a video?

Or maybe do modules in exchange for games....

Yeah, I have to learn how to make those things there.

No time though, busy making more things to make Vassal modules of...

I'm starting to get real handy at them. My next step is to work on getting better at the game automation bits. Got counters, maps and cards down well.

Should be out early in the new year.
New and interesting selection of optional rules to vary play, and there is a link game too.

Thanks for your attention!
