I think you're making the very best move here, Jon. Well done.

I would definitely include the Solo Warp Bot variant from the start. This game needs legs to overcome its hurdles and having two distinct solo possibilities, given prominent advertising right at the top, will give it a huge benefit, I believe. A Bot AI added to the game is always welcome, if well done, and the survival solo game creates a different and tense dynamic of its own.

Also, I would stress at the beginning of a new KS campaign what a player can discover in space, not so much in terms of game play but in terms of imagination and narrative, always important in capturing people's interest right off the bat. Something like:

"You and your intrepid crew will discover strange new planets, exotic and valuable materials, new life forms, the remnants of forgotten ancient alien civilizations, and even the possibility of First Contact and interaction with another star-faring species in the universe. Plus, as your crew spends months in space, there will be romances, friendships, competition, and rivalry, all very human interactions affecting the course of your explorations and the discoveries you can make!

"Can you achieve fame for your country as part of the first international team to brave the unknown of space? Sign up for Expedition Zetta and find out! Create your own destiny in the stars!"

Once you capture their imagination, you can go into details on game play and the mechanics involved that will help them write their own exciting narrative.

As a gamer who loves this area, you might want to have certain factors/features up front,

co-op/competitive/solo/etc (aka modes of play)?

Player vs. Player? Player Elimination?

More Xia/Merchants & Marauders or more Gloomhaven/tactical combat?

Playtime - Modularity - Replayability?

Maybe a way to think about it is, what games is it like? How do those games promote themselves?

Good point! We have this information, but a bit scattered throughout the campaign page. We should try to have a concise "fact square" close to the top, perhaps beneath an excellent introduction, such as the won David suggested here!

Quote:
Launch delayed

Hi all supporters!

As you probably know, we have submitted and application to start a company in the USA in order to be able to run the kickstarter campaign in US dollars. It has taken longer to process than we had been informed it would. So we need to delay the launch of the new kickstarter campaign for a little while. Delayed launch is not unusual when it comes to rocket launches so why not Expedition Zetta

We are really racing through the stretch goals now! When I woke up two more stretch goals had been unlocked. That makes it a total of 7 stretch goals, one is a new ship card and unique figurine (!). As well as 19 cards (Exo product, Country and Crew) and 51 flag markers added to each copy of Expedition Zetta through pledge levels.

With around 32 hours left it looks like we could reach some more. Wow!
