The Family Game Store in Savage, MD (close to Baltimore and DC) will be hosting the Drive OP on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 2pm to 6pm. -due to the gravitational anomalies along the race course, the racing ships face a chance of suffering damage if performing a maneuver greater than 3 during the race
-if a maneuver greater than 3 is performed, then a number of attack dice is immediately rolled equal to the difference between the maneuver and 3 (for example, if a ship performs a 5 maneuver, it would roll 5-3=2 attack dice) and the ship suffers any hits or crits that result without the ability to roll defense dice
-any cards that allow a ship to perform an additional maneuver of 3 or less (such as Admiral Forest) do not trigger this effect
-due to the importance of the race, the captain of the highest skill in his or her fleet must be deployed to the racing ship
-if any cards with effects that occur after setup/at the start of the game but before the first round of play that would affect the opposing fleet, i.e. Jennifer Sisko, are played on a non-racing ship, those effects do not occur
-from the opposite side of the play area from the racers, an Advanced Doomsday Machine, attracted by the activity of the race event, will also be racing towards the finish line
-the Advanced Doomsday Machine will follow the rules for the Doomsday machine from The Doomsday Machine OP ( https://wizkids.com/attackwing/star-trek-attack-wing-the-doo... ) with the following exceptions:
---the Advanced Doomsday Machine has the following statistics: Primary Weapon 8, Agility 0, Hull 12, Shields 6
---the Advanced Doomsday Machine performs straight maneuvers of 3, bank maneuvers of 2, and sharp turn maneuvers of 1

Open/casual play prior to the event will run from 1-2pm. Registration begins at 1:45, and the entry fee is $5. On-time arrival for tournament participation will be by 2:15pm, and the entire tournament will be completed by 6pm. Please bring your completed fleet sheets if you can.
